IRH
Sometimes I need to search for a specific folder but the folder name has commonality with a lot of other documents. If I want to search for folders only, how do I do that? I have tried putting "folder" in the advanced section (screenshot attached) but that seems to have no effect. I enter [folder glass] in the search field and it finds nothing. If I enter [glass] in the search field, it returns all the documents with glass in the title and duns out of display room before it gets to the folder. I am, I think, missing something and would appreciate any guidance as to what I am doing wrong. Many thanks Link to comment
Vero
@IRH Welcome to the forum The Simple Folder search might be useful for you, as it allows you to specifically search for folders: https://alfred.app/workflows/alfredapp/simple-folder-search/ Alternatively, if you want to pick a folder, then search for files within that folder specifically, you can use the Dynamic File Search: https://alfred.app/workflows/alfredapp/dynamic-file-search/ If you have something else in mind, let us know and we can help you customise a workflow! It didn’t, because you already have folders ticked in Extras. In general, it is recommended to not add too much there to not pollute results and instead use the specialised methods (or a workflow) to find files and folders. Link to comment
