Customizing target browser for web searches

I would like to target some of my web search actions to open in a specific browser which is not my system default. Is there any way to do this?

You can make a workflow to connect a Keyword Input to an Open URL Action, which lets you define the browser.

See the Getting Started Guide for an interactive tutorial on making a workflow.

Thanks. I'm familiar with this as a fallback and will do that for now, but it's nontrivially more friction than having a simple option to optionally customize the target browser for each Web Search. Consider this a feature request!

@jrk If you prefer to choose which browser to open with on the fly, you can press the right arrow to see File Actions, and choose "Open URL in..." and choose your preferred browser.

 

Normally, URLs you type will open in your default browser, but when you want to open in an alternative, using the action above takes no prior setup.
