raguay.customct Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Hi, I am working on a workflow (actually, expanding an existing one), but the script filter limit of just showing one line for each item is restricting the usefulness. It would be nice to allow it to display multi-line for particular items returned in the xml. Just have the variable "multi-line" to be "yes" or "no" with the default of "no". This would apply to the sub-title area only.
Tyler Eich Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I do agree that there should more flexibility in displaying data directly in Alfred. That said, I don't think results are the place to do it. Perhaps a new panel could be added to Alfred? Spotlight opens a QuickLook panel of the item you have selected; that concept could be extended to Alfred. This could be used for Dictionary definitions, severe weather alerts, or any number of lengthy-text results.

For some situations, being able to see 3-4 lines of text for each result is better than a details panel that can only show extended info for one result at a time. For others, results as they currently are plus a details panel would be better. They serve different purposes.
