Terminal Silent

Really like v2.  Trying to duplicate a terminal script I wrote for v1.  In v1 I have the ability to "run silent," so the terminal window would not open.  I can't find that in v2.  Any heip is appreciated!

Try creating a new workflow using the keyword to script template. Code entered in the script module is run in the background "silently"

Running silent terminal scripts in a workflow (similar to how Alfred 1.x did it) is as simple as creating a new workflow using the Templates->Essentials->Keyword to Run Script template. Set your keyword and then add your code in the script area. This runs a silent terminal command.

So if i understood this correctly, if i use a external script, in my case Gifify, i can't make it silent ?

 

What i would like to do is select a movie file > run Gifify with notifications of what going on but without opening the terminal. That can't be done, right?

Sure it can. You just use the path to the script in your Run Script action:

 

/bin/bash /Users/me/bin/gifify "{query}"
