I know the delay object, ie pause for x seconds. I am thinking about pause until the user presses a key.

For example pause until escape key is pressed

I work a lot in Keyboard Maestro and the "cancel all macros" action is very helpful.

What do I cancel via the activity monitor ? Is quitting Alfred enough, or does the workflow take on a life of its own ?

Would "quit Alfred " be sufficient via Launchbar or Keyboard Maestro ?

Hello, I migrated to Launchbar which includes a multitude of file actions that I don't see in Alfred when I select one or multiple files in the file explorer, for example, to name a few, send to printer, send to DevonThink or one of many other apps, send to Kindle etc

Where are these in Alfred or how can I add them ?

They are not in my universal file actions

I was hesitating between Alfred and Launchbar because a few years ago,  I read the following (ScreenShot below) in Alfred's documentation and decided to opt for Launchbar (using Alfred lightly in parallel) solely because Launchbar file actions apply to the currently selected  file in any file manager, not only Finder.

As I am migrating back to Alfred whilst keeping Launchbar for file actions, I discovered by testing, and to my astonishment, that in fact Alfred file actions apply to the currently select file in the currently used file manager (I alternate between Pathfinder and ForkLift ), not only Finder.

As a consequence, I am in the process of completely migrating to Alfred.

Suggestion: modify your documentation accordingly and you may gain more users.

There are a zillion results, which is normal. I tried ""keywords NOT snippet" which did not yield any results. I looked up search syntax in alfred support and did not find anything. Could you point me to a reference explaining the search syntax ?

I am trying to get a listing of keywords. Your solution is excellent but requires a lot of scrolling and difficult to use if I want to reorganize my keywords.

If there any way to list keywords in a file (PDF, RTFD, etc) ? I tried to do a scrolling screenshot using snagit, but it does not capture the alfred search window (it captures the app behind the alfred search window).

Hello,

I have 2 problems with the Key Combo action

1- I use the combination ⇧⌃⌥ Z to input text into typinator. If I type this inside the combo box, I only end up with ⌘C

2- when I type ⇧⌃⌥ Z in the kombo box, the action in typinator is triggered. Usually (in Keyboard Maestro for example) when typing a keyboard shortcut in a dedicated field, that shortcut is otherwise inactive.

3- is key combo the only action to trigger a keyboard shortcut ?
