Hello! Is there an easy way to bind a keyboard shortcut trigger without preventing the default action of the shortcut? Example: reloading in browser is done via Cmd+R command. Is it possible to bind this shortcut in Alfred in a way that will both reload the browser and trigger further actions within the workflow, e.g. showing notification "Cmd+R was pressed"? (reloading page action has been taken arbitrarily, it can be any other action in other apps as well)

Hello! Currently clipboard history shows number of words and characters; could you also output there number of lines, please? Thank you!

Alfred 5 open URL: is URL escaping a breaking change?
everyonesdesign replied to everyonesdesign's topic in Discussion & Help
Unfortunately I cannot export the workflow, since it was made for navigating internal URLs of my employing organisation; however I can share a simple setup reproducing the problem. So it happens because I'm generating the path for the page, including slash symbols, but in some cases it feels very natural to do so (check out the simple example with the Github repo URLs generation). BTW, I tried running an automatic replacement of `skipvarencode` and `skipqueryencode` values to `true`, and it fixed my problem. Not sure how to attach Alfred workflow file here, it seems to only allow images, so I'm sharing via Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/68nzex09ats7npb/[Example workflow] Popular Github projects.alfredworkflow?dl=0 -
Hello! I've recently migrated to Alfred 5 and noticed that some of my workflows stopped generating correct URLs. It seems that the issue happens because all of my Open URL actions have "encode {query} placeholder" and "encode {var:} placeholders" checkboxes enabled. Is a newly created feature? I guess it's a breaking one then? I guess, I can do automatic replacement in plist files for the following keys: <key>skipqueryencode</key> <false/> <key>skipvarencode</key> <false/> What are your thoughts on that? Thanks for any help and advice!

Hello! First, I'd like to thank you for amazing features shipped in Alfred 5. It will really simplify handling multiple routine tasks for me. As a matter of fact, I had some custom-written pieces of AppleScript I used to communicated to Chrome Tabs I'll be able to replace with automations now. However, there's one thing that prevents me from switching to the automations completely: "run JavaScript" automation doesn't have any output. In my custom AppleScript snippets I used it a lot as a tool to pass the data from the browser tab to Alfred (e.g. in many cases I serialised data in some invisible element on the page and later Alfred read it and parsed the data), in this fashion (this is JS AppleScript): tracksList = chrome.execute(tab, { javascript: 'document.getElementById("jsHelper__deezerPlaylist").textContent', }); Could you consider adding this output as a feature? Thank you!

Automatic triggers for Alfred
everyonesdesign replied to lycopodiopsida's topic in Alfred Feature Suggestions
Yes, I second this. I would also love to see a possibility of a human-readable wrapper over cron, allowing to schedule automation. Also, potentially, triggers on wakeup/sleep etc. -

Hotkey trigger doesn't output macOS selection

The app causing that was TickTick, because my shortcut (Cmd+Shift+O) seemed to coincide with its default global one (and by strange coincidence, the other shortcut I used for testing, Cmd+Option+Cmd+Z, coincided as well). Thank you again for quick response and have a nice day! -

BTW, @Andrew, thank you very much for the Alfred tool. I literally cannot imagine my workflow without it now. -
Hotkey trigger doesn't output macOS selection

OK, it seems that the problem is in my setup. I killed all the other apps and it started working. I think some other app started acting up a bit differently after upgrade to Big Sur. Sorry to bother you, I guess the issue can be closed. I'll look into that and maybe will post what app caused that, so that other people bumping into that will see it. -
Hotkey trigger doesn't output macOS selection

Yes. I re-tried it again, and now I also re-started macOS in between the steps (after disabling all the Accessibility preferences, and then after re-enabling again). I still cannot get selection text in a workflow it seems.
