solved Noob question about Zothero

Hi,

Total Noob here, thank you for bearing with me. I have installed deanishe's famed ZotHero so I can insert citations from Zotero into Scrivener, but hitting a wall: when I type 'zot' and the author name, it defaults to a Google search of the author name rather than searching in Zotero, even though "Search Zotero" pops up as an option. (Attached is screenshot of what comes up.) What am I doing wrong, and/or how do I fix this?

That version is outdated. Use @giovanni fork instead.

yes this is the Python2 version. Could you try this version?

Yes! It works! I downloaded Python 3 too, and now we are good to go. Thank you so much for responding so quickly and helping me so much. I am very grateful. Been trying to use Scrivener with Zotero for years. Thank you.

I am getting error "database is locked". 

But, the database doesn't seem locked.

is Zotero open? It needs to be closed, at least when Zothero creates its own copy of the database.
