Twice Bitten
I have set my Search Scope to look through many folders on my Mac. Is it possible to ignore certain folders/files in Alfred Search results? Affectively whitelisting them? Cheers. Link to comment
Stephen_C
You can try adding the alfred:ignore tag to the appropriate folders and files. Note there is also a workflow in the gallery that simplifies that process. Stephen Twice Bitten 1 Link to comment

Select the relevant file or folder in Finder, ⌘I to open Get Info then add the tag in the Add Tags space at the top. Stephen Twice Bitten 1 Link to comment

Stephen Wow - and I thought that the Labels/Tags were just to add indexable colours to files/folders. Had to idea you could add instructions to them. Thanks again. Link to comment
politicus
Very nice find! I tried to manually add the ignore the tag on the folder CloudStorage. Didn't work but worked with this workflow. Alfred 1 - CloudStorage 0 Link to comment
vitor
@politicus Adding the tag to the folder is not enough, due to how Spotlight’s indexing works. The workflow adds the tag to the folder and all files inside. That is why there is a reignore keyword to readd the folder if you add new files to it. If it’s a folder you’re sure you’ll want to keep ignored, you can instead add it to Spotlight’s Privacy tab in System Settings or append .noindex to its name. Link to comment
