sepulchra Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 I'm guessing this might be a tall order, but it would be great when editing a file via the new text view object if it could leverage's apple's spell check functionality. I often use Tot.app or another text editor to write email drafts and adding this functionality would be incredibly useful get me to not open those other apps for this purpose. yinan 1
Andrew Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Spell checking should work in editing mode, right click and you'll get a whole bunch of built-in macOS options: Is this what you were looking for?
sepulchra Posted February 26, 2024 Author Posted February 26, 2024 yes. I didn't think to right click. In most apps one can trigger check document now with ⌘+; Is there a way to trigger those spelling features with the typical keyboard shortcuts?

Or, indeed, a way to set defaults specifically for Alfred? (I don't like Apple checking my grammar but I would like it to check my spelling as I type. 😀) Stephen
Andrew Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 I'll pop in a ticket to consider shortcuts / making this easier to access Stephen_C, pseudometa, Alan He and 1 other 3 1
Andrew Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 The next build will have both ⌘; and an option in the Text View config to enable continuous spell checking by default (when the text view is set to Editable). Stephen_C and sepulchra 2
Andrew Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 This is now in Alfred 5.5 Beta 2 b2253 Stephen_C and sepulchra 1 1
