crgraham32 Posted March 17, 2013 Share Posted March 17, 2013 Forgive my ignorance, complete newbie to both Mac and Alfred. How do I import this theme? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
egla Posted March 17, 2013 Author Share Posted March 17, 2013 You need to buy the Powerpack to be able to import and export Themes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
crgraham32 Posted March 17, 2013 Share Posted March 17, 2013 I have the powerpack, but when I click on your link, I just download a txt file. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

crgraham32 Posted March 17, 2013 Share Posted March 17, 2013 Correct. I see this (just partial): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"><plist version="1.0"><dict> <key>background</key> <data> BAtzdHJlYW10eXBlZIHoA4QBQISEhAdOU0NvbG9yAISECE5TT2JqZWN0AIWEAWMBhARm ZmZmg+rWfD8BAYMzM3M/hg== </data> <key>border</key> <data> BAtzdHJlYW10eXBlZIHoA4QBQISEhAdOU0NvbG9yAISECE5TT2JqZWN0AIWEAWMBhARm ZmZmAQEBAIY= </data> <key>cornerRoundness</key> <integer>3</integer> <key>credits</key> <string>Hannes Egler</string> <key>imageStyle</key> <integer>9</integer> <key>name</key> <string>Minimalisitic Light</string> <key>resultPaddingSize</key> <integer>2</integer> <key>resultSelectedBackgroundColor</key> <data> BAtzdHJlYW10eXBlZIHoA4QBQISEhAdOU0NvbG9yAISECE5TT2JqZWN0AIWEAWMBhARm ZmZmAQEBAIY= Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
egla Posted March 17, 2013 Author Share Posted March 17, 2013 Does it download a file? If it just opens the code, right click on the link and download the file. If it downloads the actual file and it shows you code when you open it, right click on the file and open it with alfred crgraham32 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
crgraham32 Posted March 17, 2013 Share Posted March 17, 2013 OK, I figured it out. I had to save file as . . . and then not append it to a txt file. One I did that I was able to double click the file and import. Thanks! I really like the theme! egla 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

mdmurayama Posted March 18, 2013 Share Posted March 18, 2013 It took me a while to figure out that in order to get these files to open in Alfred that you need to delete "txt" and make them "alfredappearance" files. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Must be something with your browser/browser settings. Everybody I asked automatically downloaded the .alfredappearance files and not a txt (which is really strange, because the files on my Dropbox are the .alfredappearance files Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am using Safari and I haven't done much to change the original settings as I am not very computer literate. That's probably why it took me a while to realize I had to delete the "txt" ending. It's not just your theme that downloads as a text file. All the ones I have tried from different authors download that way too. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I will take a look at it and try to solve the problem. Until then, just right click the link and click safe file Edit: I use Droplr now and it works with Safari very well now Edited March 18, 2013 by egla Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I just prefer both Helvetica and slightly rounded corners to make the Alfred window more consistent with OSX. In general I am not a huge fan of Serif fonts in UIs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
