For some reason, the default usage of the chatgpt isn't working for me. I can force start a new chat, but I can't continue one. Is the default keybinding not enter? Or is something wrong with my Alfred set up?

love this integration with ChatGPT. 

 

I was wondering: via their official webpage it self, you can add 'custom' GPTS, or so called 'assistants'. 

In where you can define your personal instruction for this GPT to answer. 

 

Is it possible to have 'multiple' assistants with chatGPT for alfred? 

So we can define the instructiosn some where and add it to the workflow? 

 

eg > chatgpt codingexpert: write me a script for blabla

eg > chatgpt marketingexpert: find out what best...blabla

 

 

NOt sure if and how complicated that would be.

Couldn't the system prompt help with that? At least for my local LLM workflow, I set up different system prompts which "guide" the LLM to answer in a particular way (as an english editor, as a computer specialist etc.) — in my case BetterTouchTool triggers these with different keystrokes. The issue is how to manage these flexibly in an Alfred workflow. Currently you support a single system prompt, if you could have a set of these, and a way to specify which one to use this would at least help in guiding the LLM to respond in a specific way. Each time the system prompt changed you would reset the conversation to.

I’m in Pune, Maharashtra - India and  we have very stable internet, like the rest of the world, we can’t BREATHE without the internet! I’ll try your new version and revert.

 

Incidentally, this is a Mac Mini (Apple Silicon) and when I restart the machine, I get a Java runtime error, and I’ve been ignoring that ever, since my MacBook Pro migration, does it matter? Let me know if it matters and also how I can resolve the Java Runtime Error.

Unlikely. Unless you have some Java app which modifies network connections.

Could you expand on what you mean by that?

Are there any plans to add a configuration for saving chat history to some user-specified location? I see that the last chat is cached in chat.json deep down in Library, so I might take a stab at also saving the Markdown somewhere. As far as organizing them for easy identification, maybe something similar to how ChatGPT does it and use a truncated form of the prompt as the filename: `Write a python script to calc.md`. I haven't played with OpenAI API so maybe it can return a snippet for ID'ing?

 

Oh! Forgot to say... And wonderful work on this workflow, I'm constantly using it!

I have ideas for chat history, but it’s unlikely to work exactly as per your description as I want to offer more flexibility than locking a conversation in time.

Yeah, copying the Markdown is a nice touch... I guess I meant auto-saving it somewhere. I use it so frequently and often want to refer back to a specific conversation at a later date.
