politicus got a reaction from augustya in How is Alfred Different From MAC OS X Spotlight ?
If what you are looking for is being able to search all your accounts (cloud storage+mail) from Alfred in ONE query the answer is no.
Just like with Spotlight, you can't launch Spotlight, type your query and get results from all your local+online accounts.
Or I missed something.
What is important is you can't do it in ONE time.
BUT if you want to search your in your Dropbox files, you can do it. There is a workflow for that.
BUT if you want to search your in your Gmail account, you can do it. There is a workflow for that.
What I mean is if you want to search in your Dropbox and in your Gmail accounts you will have to use two workflows one AFTER the other.
I haven't seen any Alfred workflow for Yahoo mail.

politicus got a reaction from Carlos-Sz in Rename 4.0 beta 2 for Alfred 3: Batch Rename files or folders (supports Regular Expression and EXIF date)
From a Mac OS X 10.9.4 user thank you very much!
What a very useful workflow... that finally works for me.
Previous versions were not very stable -> makes me even happier to be able to use this one
Presets and preview -> Awesome !

politicus got a reaction from xilopaint in Google Maps Route Workflow
Awesome workflow.
Some feedback:
I think the preferred google maps domain should be .com not .de.
No big deal as it is very easy to modify in the workflow settings.
(Just did it).

YOU ARE THE MAN.
I think I will use this workflow at least 50 times a day!
Thank you

politicus got a reaction from 40-02 in Search Google Chrome/Chromium bookmarks
Amazing (Fastest) Alfred's Google Chrome workflow!
Some feature requests:
Is there a way one can search in a specific folder (ie typing workflow keyword, then the folder's name, then the bookmark we are looking for)?
Would be very useful when one have 10000+ bookmarks classified in small folders of 20 or so bookmarks.
Would love to be able to delete one or a selection of bookmarks from Alfred

politicus got a reaction from Tyler Eich in Adding a "put back" action
It would be helpful for people, just like me, accidentally send files to Trash.
I know the "Move to" action does exist, but in all honesty, I am too lazy (Thanks to Alfred ).
More seriously, "Move to" action would never be as fast as a "Put back" action could be.

politicus got a reaction from Tyler Eich in Multi selection in Alfred results
I don't know if this is possible so i am posting it here.
Let's say I have three mounted disks and I only want to unmount two of them.
ASOT I have to repeat the process "Eject disk X" two times.
What I do like to do is type the keyword of the workflow that unmount disks, select
all the disk I want to unmount and click enter.
Another use case, when using the buffer, I have to type the name of the file I want to add,
hit alt+up for any file I want to add. I would like to have to type the name of the file I want to add,
select all the files and I hit and special shortcut to add them to the buffer.
One could select the files by clicking or a la Finder (ie with a shortcut shift+down).

@Tyler Oh my god! Thanks a bunch. Looks like Alfred is an everlasting source of little "things" that makes our life way easier
@Wilcard : this gem is well hidden, but so useful!

politicus got a reaction from Ddyracer in Access apps menus via Alfred.
Sometimes, it might be helpful to access apps menus via Alfred.
For example:
Typing the first few letters of System preferences, having System preferences selected, hitting tab, having all the system preferences menus (General, ... , Sharing) displayed, typing the first few letter the menu I want to access, enter.

politicus got a reaction from MacGeeky in Open Library folder(s) in Finder
Everything is working now! Thanks!
It is definitely a very useful workflow. Navigating between the different "Library" folders in Finder is such a PITA.
