It look way too long, but I've finally updated Layouts for Alfred's Workflows.  I completely re-wrote the source and now you can even add hotkeys for custom sizes (like 30% of screen width on the left side of screen).

Unfortunately, it still suffers from the same bug, when you have the dock set to one of the sides.

I just posted a v2.1.0 that addresses the dock issues.  It should now take into consideration bottom, left or right aligned dock.  Let me know if anybody finds bugs.

Thank you for this workflow Greg.  I'm wondering if the different layouts could be listed within Alfred's query and I could just use the arrow keys to go to the one I want?

I've noticed this too.  Certain apps don't respond to applescript.  Unfortunately, not much I can do about it

thanks, nice to know its not just me, weird that a native OS X app doesn’t respond to applescript though.

The MS Office apps are notorious for not playing well with window resizers and for stealing focus etc. But, yes, preview does not work here either.
