  1. @Chris Messina We've created a page to let users know what's happening; In short, and much as you and @deanishe have deduced, this is a notification from macOS that a workflow uses Python 2. Clicking "OK" makes it go away, the workflows work and you shouldn't be notified again. As this notification is being shown outside of Alfred, and somewhat opaquely by macOS, Alfred can't treat this scenario in the same way he does with PHP (which is essentially a missing binary). If python was missing altogether, you'd see the same kind of dialog you see with PHP. In all likelihood, we will add a warning dialog closer to the time this becomes a larger issue, but for now, click "OK" once and continue as usual. Cheers, Vero
  2. @archelium (and anyone else who finds this thread from now on) We've created a page explaining what's happening and how workflow creators can update their workflows to no longer use Python 2 in a future update: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/monterey-alfred-4-python-2-popup/ In short, you can click "Ok" and you shouldn't see the notice again. We've tested and it doesn't re-appear after you restart your Mac, so is currently just a one-time notice that workflows you're using are using a deprecated version of Python. Cheers, Vero
  3. @pontus Shortcuts integration is definitely on Alfred's roadmap More to come in the near future!
  4. @archelium @Kaske Indeed, the Google Drive indexing issue is unrelated to Monterey. An update to Google Drive in recent months has caused Spotlight and macOS to stop indexing the files. Google is very opaque about what's happening under the hood with Google Drive so we don't know whether they intend to re-enable indexing in the future. Your best bet is to grab @vitor's workflow linked a couple of posts above Cheers, Vero
  5. @archelium On further thought, what happens when you click "Learn more..."? Could you please disable any workflows that contain scripts (e.g. Python-based workflows) by right-clicking them and unchecking "Enabled"? Let me know how you get on. Cheers, Vero
  6. @archelium Welcome to the forum. That's an odd issue, and not one I've seen before from anyone in our community where many people have already updated to Monterey. I'm also currently using Monterey 12.0.1. Did you install Monterey from scratch or as an upgrade? Have you encountered issues with any other apps? Could you also re-download Alfred from https://www.alfredapp.com just in case? The more information you can provide, the more likely we'll be able to help you get to the bottom of what's happening on your Mac. Cheers, Vero
  7. @OAL If you encounter the issue where you're unable to expand snippets outside of password fields or specific password-focused apps, please take a look at the Snippets Troubleshooting page: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/snippets/ If the above doesn't resolve the issue for you, could you please provide more details? - In what circumstances do snippets not expand? Does it only happen sometimes or do they never expand? Is there a pattern you can discern in terms which apps it happens in, which snippets you have an issue with, etc? - Does Alfred's "Secure input" error message appear when you're unable to expand snippets? The more information you're able to provide, the more we'll be able to help. I've been using Snippets daily on Monterey for a few months now and can confirm that they work as expected, so the issue you're seeing will likely not be related to Monterey but could be related to upgrading/reinstalling macOS. Cheers, Vero
  8. @OAL By design, Apple stops all third-party apps like Alfred from seeing your keystrokes when you're in a password field in order to protect your privacy. This isn't specific to Monterey and has always been the case. Cheers, Vero
  9. @AndreProducer Sorry I misconstrued your question No, there isn't a way to make the text in the Clipboard History preview larger.
  10. @AndreProducer Press Cmd + L to see it as Large Type. Cheers, Vero
  11. @AndreProducer At the time of the original posts in this thread, we were still experimenting with Visual Effect, but this is now part of Alfred's theming and working well. The themes would be the same, just with the Experimental word removed, so you can just grab those safely. Cheers, Vero
  12. @p3av8r That'll be the next step then, establishing which plugin is likely interfering. I use Alfred's snippets in Gmail in Safari (no browser extensions) on Big Sur hundreds of times a day, so I'm confident that when nothing external is interfering, your snippets should work perfectly. Cheers, Vero
  13. @andy4222 When the snippets aren't expanding, did you check whether you're seeing the secure input error message highlighted here? https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/snippets/#secure-input It's likely that if snippets are working normally the rest of the time, in that time where they don't expand, the error message would indicate which app or service on your Mac is enabling secure input. During that time, Alfred (and any other app that relies on knowing your keystrokes) will be blind to what you're typing, and no snippets will be expanded. Once you can establish what app, plugin, etc is causing that, disabling or uninstalling it should resolve it for you Cheers, Vero
  14. @p3av8r Welcome to the forum Could you please test text expansion in TextEdit specifically? When you try to expand your snippets in TextEdit, what behaviour do you see exactly? Does the issue of partial expansion / pasting the current clipboard happen only in a particular app, browser window, etc? If you can narrow down the exact scenario where the issue happens, you may find that it's in a non-native app or browser that's being weighted down by plugins that slow it down. You can try slowing down key events: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/snippets/#partial Let me know how you get on. Cheers, Vero
  15. @GatorMapi You should copy the entire Alfred.alfredpreferences file, not individual items within it if you're looking to set up a new Mac. You could also sync the first Mac to Dropbox, if you're keeping both Macs for personal use: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/advanced/sync/ If you want specific workflows, you can export them by right-clicking them in the sidebar in Alfred's Workflows tab and choose Export Cheers, Vero
  16. @LSDog We're indeed aware that Packal is now offline. It was a site created and maintained by a lovely community member many years ago, but was not directly affiliated with us. We'll be updating areas of our website that still refer to Packal, and providing links to both our own and community-created workflows very soon In the meantime, as @vitor suggests, this forum is your best starting point if you're looking for any particular workflows or need help creating your own! Cheers, Vero
  17. @dmoz Welcome to the forum Alfred's Clipboard History doesn't interfere with Universal Clipboard between your Apple devices. If you can get Universal Clipboard working between your Macs (ignoring Alfred for a moment, just between your macOS clipboards), then Alfred will integrate happily. Once you've got that working, you can open Alfred's Clipboard History and use Cmd + C on an item and macOS will send it to your other device. And similarly, if you copy on another device, it'll show up in Alfred's Clipboard History if you uncheck the option to ignore it. Let me know how you get on. Cheers, Vero
  18. @hugoforbes88 Welcome to the forum Cachefly is the Content Delivery Network we use, so you may either have hit a CDN node that is temporarily unavailable (very rare these days), you may have something on your Mac restricting your connection (Little Snitch, browser plugin or proxy settings) or you may be on a restricted network (e.g. some corporate networks, coffee shops, etc limit their users). If the issue persists, drop us an email on info@ and I'll take a further look. Cheers, Vero
  19. @teottdel You can drag Alfred from your Applications folder to your Dock at the bottom if your screen if you'd like to be able to click on it to show the Alfred bar.
  20. @teottdel Are you aware that the Clipboard History has its own hotkey combo? If you use Cmd + Alt + C, you can pop up the Clipboard Viewer, choose your clipboard item either by using the down arrow to find the right recent one, or by typing a few letters of the clip you're looking for. When you press Enter, Alfred will paste it to the frontmost app. That's the most efficient way to use Clipboard History Cheers, Vero
  21. As per my reply from a few years ago, selecting the recent file a few times while using the specific keyword you want it to match should be all it takes to teach Alfred you want the new file. As @deanishe said, resetting the Knowledge should not be necessary, and is only needed in the rare instance where Alfred seems to stop learning new matches for specific keywords. Resetting the knowledge will re-create the file where this information is stored, which clears any possible macOS file corruption or permissions issue with the file itself. Cheers, Vero
  22. @Danathar Over the past 5 years or so, Apple's been in a transient state, changing the way third parties can interact with Music. Alfred's iTunes Mini Player was originally intended to work with your local music library. Overhauling the Mini Player so that it works directly with the new Apple MusicKit API - which is currently only available in the macOS 12 Beta - would be a significant undertaking, and only something that we would do if there is significant demand for the feature. Cheers, Vero
  23. @duckinm Alfred doesn't natively search your Keychain or macOS passwords. However, it does have 1Password integration built in. Cheers, Vero
  24. @quesogrande Welcome to the forum Alfred's clipboard database is stored in your Application Support folder; Do you have any apps that try to "tidy" or remove caches, or could be causing the clipboard database to be removed periodically? Does the clipboard history go back to when you last restarted your Mac? I can see you've been using Alfred for a few years so how long ago did this issue start? If you're using macOS Monterey beta, or have any unusual setup on your Mac (e.g. OS installed on the non-default drive, etc), let me know as this may be playing a part in the issue you're seeing.
  25. @Daniel Heffernan Welcome to the forum May I ask why you don't just create a snippet for this, if your workflow is just a keyword to a dynamic text snippet expansion? You could then just type a shortcut (mine is "ddate") to paste today's date without first having to pop up Alfred. In terms of your workflow, please click on the squiggly brackets button and check whether you've checked the "Ignore Dynamic Placeholders" option. This should not be checked (and isn't checked by default). Let me know how you get on Cheers, Vero
