  1. @kuirin Welcome to the forum The spell and define built-in features are in fact spellcheckers, and the available languages for this are provided by a macOS API. This is unlikely to include custom installed dictionaries. We have seen other workflows where people are using custom dictionaries, so it would be worth taking a look around to see how they've worked with them.
  2. @jwm That means there may be a different issue happening on your Mac. Have you modified or remapped the Cmd + V hotkey combo or are you running a different app that may be interfering with the normal operation of the Cmd + V paste command? Can you use Cmd + C to copy from the Clipboard Viewer, then Cmd + V to paste to the frontmost app? I would also suggest creating a new user account on your Mac temporarily, activating your Powerpack and seeing whether you're able to use the Clipboard History normally on that profile. This could indicate that something on your primary profile is interfering. The more details you can share in your replies, the more likely we'll be able to help you get to the bottom of the issue on your Mac [Moved to Discussion & Help]
  3. @renforter If you re-granted Accessibility permissions, this may be all that was needed for macOS to get kicked into gear. Let us know how you get on
  4. @jwm Could you please follow the first step? Remove Alfred from Accessibility and re-add, rather than just unchecking and rechecking the box. This will ensure that macOS correctly re-grants the permission.
  5. @jwm Welcome to the forum Could you please provide more details about what's not working with snippets and clipboard? - Have you checked that Accessibility is granted to Alfred? Have you tried removing and re-adding Alfred to ensure macOS is "nudged" into seeing that you've granted it? - If you launch TextEdit (a simple and native app, ideal for testing) and try to paste from the Clipboard Viewer by browsing down to an item and pressing Enter, what happens? - If your Clipboard entry pastes in TextEdit, in which apps do you see a different behaviour? The more information you provide, the easier it'll be for me to help troubleshoot what's happening on your Mac
  6. @renforter Could you please open TextEdit to a blank document, then pop up the Clipboard History Viewer, browse down a few items in the list and press Return? Is the correct item pasted? If it isn't, then please open macOS System Settings to the Privacy & Security section > Accessibility. Remove Alfred from the list, then use the [+] button to re-add Alfred manually to the list. Try the action above again and let me know how you get on. If the correct item pastes into TextEdit, could you then please clarify which app you're using when you're encountering the issue where the wrong item is pasted? Could another app that manipulates the clipboard be running on your Mac, potentially interfering with the Clipboard's normal operation? Let me know and I'll be happy to help you further
  7. @Thanos Welcome to the forum! If you open System Settings > General > Login Items, is Alfred included in the "Open at Login" list? I would suggest you remove and re-add (via the [+] button) Alfred to the launch items, just in case there's been some corruption in macOS in the upgrade to Sonoma (which is a fairly common occurrence). If the issue persists, could you please provide your Diagnostics file, which you can get by typing "?diagnostics" into Alfred? You can then email it to our info@ email address so that I can take a look.
  8. @wellerpond I should have been a little clearer in my first reply; Microsoft Office apps (Word, Powerpoint, etc) and Adobe apps, if memory serves me right, do not store their recent documents in a format that allows third-parties to read them. As such, the list you'll have in the Microsoft app will be all files you've opened recently, whereas the list in Alfred will only include those opened in Alfred. If you use Pages, TextEdit or another macOS native app, you'll see matching results in macOS and Alfred, as Alfred is able to read the recent docs list from the app.
  9. @Eseila Take a look at the indexing troubleshooting page, and use the Troubleshooter to find out whether your Mac’s metadata needs to be rebuilt. Let us know how you get on 😊
  10. @wellerpond This list of recent documents is provided by the app itself. Which apps have you tested this with? Alternatively, if the app itself doesn't maintain a list of recent documents (e.g. Microsoft Office apps), the list you'll see is files you've opened via Alfred with this app over time.
  11. I'll nudge @bogdansrc (the Dash developer) to lend a hand here as the solution may be helpful to other users who come across that same issue.
  12. @jcyrilyee Welcome to the forum Could you please drag Activity Monitor and any other app you can't find to Alfred's File Troubleshooter first? This should give some insight into why they're not found: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/
  13. @sleuth Could you drag one of those Chrome apps to Alfred's File Troubleshooting tool? https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/ According to a thread from 2014, these are just bookmarks but the app is still Chrome as far as macOS is concerned. Your best bet may be to create custom keywords like these to launch the specific "apps" from Alfred: https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/give-files-nicknames-to-find-them-faster/
  14. @hpiwzqda Your best bet is to use the excellent Chromium Bookmarks & History Search workflow here: https://alfred.app/workflows/acidham/chromium-bookmarks-and-history-search/
  15. @Wireshark101 Welcome to the forum You mention a script so are your URLs static or generated? If you just want to open static URLs, there are a few ways to do this: One keyword launching all URLs at the same time: https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/tutorial-using-the-same-keyword-for-multiple-actions/ One keyword with each URL being available for you to launch individually: https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/tutorial-using-the-same-keyword-for-multiple-actions/ If you're looking to do something scripted, share some more details and we'll be happy to help.
  16. @mlondon As I'm sure you've already guessed, Alfred doesn't get to choose which order these login items are launched. There are a couple of things I'd suggest trying on your Mac: If you quit and relaunch Alfred (without restarting your Mac), does Alfred launch quickly? Try removing all items aside from Alfred from your login items then restart. Is it launched quickly? You could then re-add the other apps *after* Alfred, as one of these apps may be slower to load, and is best kept for last. Let us know how you get on
  17. @schmu I merged your other thread ("unknown indexing state" after Migration Assistant?) with this one as your posts were a continuation of this thread. Please continue the discussion here to make it easier to keep track of what's been discussed
  18. @Jogim Welcome to the forum. The first step when you're unable to find files is to use the File Troubleshooter as outlined here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/ Once you've dragged the files in, Alfred will give you more information on the metadata for the app, whether it's complete or not, and any tips on resolving the issue. You can either follow the instructions from the troubleshooter or paste the output here if you'd like more help.
  19. @GreenWire Welcome to the forum The troubleshooting indicates that the indexing on your Mac (which is maintained by macOS and used by other apps like Spotlight) has been disabled. This is something Alfred doesn't get involved with, so did disable your index or install something that would have an impact on the index? You'll find how to rebuild your Mac's index in steps 5 and 6 here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/
  20. @Nat Harari Drag the relevant folder into your search scope in the Default Results preferences to include apps from that folder into your results. Alternatively, if you just want one app from an obscure folder and would prefer not to add anything else to the scope, you can create a nickname workflow like this for a one-off file you want to open: https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/give-files-nicknames-to-find-them-faster/ Let us know how you get on
  21. @indros This behaviour hasn't changed in Alfred; When dragging out of Alfred, by design, he doesn't disappear. You may have been using a particular app that took over focus at that point, which would cause Alfred to yield the focus to that app and disappear. So the behaviour change you're seeing is likely because the app you're dragging to is a different one to before (or behaves differently to previous versions of it). As you suggested, the best way to close Alfred if you want to move on to the app behind is to either use the Esc key, or click into the app below.
  22. @Jingyun Li If the keyword doesn't disappear, it indicates that the Accessibility permissions are probably not granted to Alfred properly on your Mac. Here are the instructions for re-granting permissions: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/getting-started/permissions/#regrant Once you're able to get the keyword to disappear, we can look at working out why pasting isn't working on your Mac. If you're using any third-party clipboard manipulation apps, please quit these to work out whether they're interfering with normal clipboard operation.
  23. @kpw If you've imported a collection and didn't enable expansion at that stage, you can also click on one snippet from the collection, then use Cmd + A to select all other snippets in that collection, right-click and choose Auto-Expansion > Set Allowed.
  24. @Jingyun Li Taking a look at your Preferences, everything looks normal. Once again, could you please confirm if the keyword disappears or not when you type your "ddd" keyword in TextEdit?
  25. @Jingyun Li Could you please provide your Diagnostics file, which you can get by typing "?diagnostics" into Alfred? You can then email it to our info@ address so that I can take a look.
