  1. @BrutusBuckeye Welcome to the forum! Alfred no longer has control over this in 1Password 7 and up; We simply pass your selection to 1Password to deal with, so Alfred isn't in control of what happens after this point. Alfred uses this URL scheme to pass them on to 1PW: onepassword://open_and_fill/ You'll need to raise this with the 1PW team to find out more about why Chrome isn't behaving as expected when launching the 1PW URLs. Cheers, Vero
  2. @ACELUVVR Alfred Remote isn't intended as a controller for your Mac's pointer, so that's not possible. Here are some examples of ways you can use Alfred Remote to control Alfred on your Mac: https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/productivity/how-we-and-you-use-alfred-remote-every-day/ Cheers, Vero
  3. @Brandon What's your Alfred hotkey? If you change your hotkey to something less common, do all characters get captured? Take a look at both of these links for things to check out (the latter only applies if you've set your hotkey to Cmd + Space): https://www.alfredapp.com/help/kb/missing-first-character/ https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/cmd-space/ Cheers, Vero
  4. @MVR London Did you type "reload" into Alfred? This will refresh the app cache for any apps that may no longer exist in the old location. Cheers, Vero
  5. @lopezpm Could you please let us know which version of Alfred you're using? Cheers, Vero
  6. @jrgifford It's likely that you need to rebuild your Mac's metadata index, which you can do by going to Alfred's Advanced preferences and clicking "Rebuild macOS metadata". Cheers, Vero
  7. @jimboRen If you're using the macOS Catalina beta, you'll need to ensure you're using Alfred 4.0.2 (Check for updates in the Update tab). Once you've updated, go to Features > Default Results and click "Reset" at the bottom of the Search Scope window to refresh the search scope and include the new paths from Catalina. You may also want to type "reload" into Alfred to refresh the application cache. Cheers, Vero
  8. @Tony20 Send an email to our info@ email address, and I'll be happy to help you. Cheers, Vero
  9. Double-click the objects, type a new keyword in the field. It's that simple! I would encourage you to take a look at some of the simpler examples, which you can find under the [+] at the bottom of the sidebar, such as "Should I watch this movie?" and other built-in examples. You can modify them as much as you want to see what happens, change file filters like the Dynamic File Filter to search for different file types or in different locations, etc... Every workflow object configuration pane (when you double-click to view the object details), and every Alfred preferences section in fact, has a question mark icon that will take you to the relevant help page. That will also provide you with more details on what you can with that object. Cheers, Vero
  10. In this case, the workflow begins with a a few options: * the "d" keyword for the List Filter on the far left * the "dd" keyword, which I assume creates a new draft * the "ds" keyword, which looks to be for searching drafts As I don't use this app, I can't test whether it works as expected, but the comments in the Drafts forum seem to indicate it does, so try using the keywords I just mentioned. If you have any issues, pop a post in the Drafts forum thread so that the workflow creator can help you out Cheers, Vero
  11. @rob213 Can you please link to the workflow you're referring to? If the workflow is triggered with a keyword, go to Alfred's preferences > Workflows > [the workflow you want to use] and take a look at the object(s) labelled "Keyword". This is what you need to type into Alfred to start using the workflow. It will then depend on how the workflow has been created as to whether it expects you to add an argument (e.g. your search term, a title for an item you want to create, etc) or it's been set to "no argument". You can double-click the Keyword to find out more. In any case, providing a link to the workflow you want to use would be the best step so we can help you out Cheers, Vero
  12. @Andrés If you manually navigate to ~/Music/iTunes/, is there an XML file called iTunes Music Library.xml? If not, iTunes hasn't created the necessary file yet. Do you have locally stored music in your iTunes library for it to be created? If the XML file exists, have you tried manually entering ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml into the Library XML path? Cheers, Vero
  13. @Andrés Could you please let me know what path you see in each one? For example, mine are: in iTunes: /Users/[myusername]/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media in Alfred: ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml Before making any changes, let us know what paths you're seeing, and we'll take it from there. Cheers, Vero
  14. @snsokstan Assuming you're using Alfred 4, you can type "?snip" into Alfred to be taken to the Snippets prefs, you can then just use Cmd + N to create a new snippet. No need to lift your fingers from the keyboard The question mark prefix is a quick way to get to any of the preferences: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/getting-started/preferences-search/ Cheers, Vero
  15. @RNRN Could you please take a look at a couple of settings first, to ensure everything's how it should be? In iTunes itself, go to Preferences > Advanced, and ensure that the box for "Share iTunes Library XML with other apps" is ticked In Alfred's preferences, Features > iTunes > Advanced, check that the Library XML is the same I know you said you don't use the Mini Player, but pop up the Mini Player and press Cmd + R to refresh the cache and ensure you're up to date This first ensures that your library is correct and matching, and that Alfred has access to the most recent cache. Now that this basic setup has been checked, do albums continue playing as expected? If not, could you please open Console.app and see whether any error messages are shown either for iTunes or Alfred when you try to play a random album? I can see this as well in Mojave; It seems to be an iTunes bug, but we'll take a look and see if it can be worked around. As far as I can see though, it doesn't stop albums from playing as expected to the end Cheers, Vero
  16. @Travis Schmeisser Alfred's snippets don't expand in Alfred itself by design. You can remove Alfred from the excluded apps by going to Features > Snippets > Auto Expansion Options > and remove Alfred 4 and/or the Preferences as you'd like. Check whether you've got Alfred 3 and 4 running concurrently if you're seeing your old snippets expanding in Alfred 4, as that may be Alfred 3 running in the background. You can do this by launching Activity Monitor and sorting by name. You can then quit Alfred 3 if it happens to be running too. Cheers, Vero
  17. @robert_muench MailMate is supported by default so there's no need for any scripts So long as you set MailMate to be your default mail client, the "email" keyword in Alfred will also use it. Cheers, Vero
  18. @skarchmit Alternatively, if you specifically want to add folders to your Default Results, you can do this by checking the "Folders" tickbox in the Features > Default Results. Personally, I have Preferences, Contacts and Folders included in my default results (as well as apps, obviously) Cheers, Vero
  19. @georgexsh Could you please download the Alfred Metadata Tool and drag an app you can't find in Alfred to it? Paste the output in your email reply so that we can take a look at what metadata macOS is providing for this app. Here is the Metadata tool: https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip Cheers, Vero
  20. @stevex Could you please let me know what Screen Sharing app you're using? And are you Screen Sharing to a Mac or a Windows machine? To paste, Alfred uses Cmd + V, but it seems that with your current setup, the Cmd is being lost between your Mac and the Screen Sharing session. If it's a Windows machine, it would be because Windows is expecting Ctrl + V to paste instead. [Edited: I see you're saying you're pasting to TextEdit on the shared screen, so I assume you're on Mac, but I'll leave the question above, in case I'm assuming wrong.] Moving this to Discussion & Help as fellow users may be able to provide more insight into screen sharing once you've provided a little more details. Cheers, Vero
  21. @Donald Wilson This has already been discussed in other threads about 10.15, and shows what paths you need to add to your search scope: We'll also be adding these paths by default to the next Alfred pre-release. Locking this thread and moving to Closed. Cheers, Vero
  22. @giovanni If you set your sync folder temporarily to be a local path (e.g. a folder on your Desktop), do preferences behave normally? Usually, there are two reasons why preferences may not be preserved after setting them: The preferences file isn't always-available (e.g. not available at startup) and stored locally. If Alfred doesn't see a file in the expected path, he'll create a new one, which can create a file conflict or a new set of preferences. Permissions issue on your Mac: If macOS isn't allowing Alfred to write to file in a particular path, preferences may not be saved. As such, testing with a new sync location like your Desktop, will allow you to check your preferences are saving normally. You'll then be able to try again (ensuring you always keep a backup) with OneDrive, and work out whether there are issues with that particular location. As far as OneDrive goes, you'd need to ensure it's available at startup, before Alfred launches, in order for the preferences to be available as soon as Alfred needs them. Cheers, Vero
  23. @jdehnert I've just replied to your email from today, and had replied to your earlier email on 6th June. Could you please check your spam and any other filters that may be stopping our emails from getting to you, as your license was issued automatically and we've emailed you a couple of times since? It's now late here in the UK, but if you can please reply to my latest email, I'll reissue your details in the morning Cheers, Vero
  24. @CoalCar You can manually drag the old versions to Trash once you're comfortably settled in with Alfred 4 I wouldn't recommend using an app cleaner, as they can often be overzealous and delete necessary files. Cheers, Vero
  25. @tjosinga On your iOS device, go to the Settings > Alfred Remote and you'll be able to choose to "Prevent device from sleeping", so that when you're using Remote, it doesn't go to sleep Cheers, Vero
