I've never seen the database file error.
The way the workflow work is by searching through Spotlight for filetypes belonging to Outlook (contacts, messages and events) in the ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/Main Profile folder.
    It could be:
Some sort of permission issue (check that the ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/Main Profile folder is readable) A path issue (lets say, your database had to be renamed because of a corruption, do you have more than one profile folder in ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/?) A launch service database issue (you need to rebuild the launch service database, a free app like Onyx could do that for you).

    Hi All,

I created three simple workflows to search for either Messages, Contacts or Events in Outlook for Mac.

The workflows are for Outlook 2011. They assume your identity is named Main Identity (I purposefully wanted to avoid searching backed-up identities, but the search scope can easily be edited).   The workflows are available here. (zipped archive)               Corentin

    Hi All,

I created a quick and easy workflow for searching for OpenMeta tags in Alfred 2.
I used the icon from CASEapps Tags for the workflow. I’m not sure whether or not this is OK, but I thought I could still share the workflow here while we’re in beta and worry about icons at a later point (obviously, I’m not an icon designer myself and I couldn’t find a generic icon for the  OpenMeta project).

    Here it is (zipped archive).

You're not doing anything wrong. It's my fault… I created the workflows one after the other, duplicating the first one and editing for the next one and forgot to update the bundle ID for the Contact workflow
I just corrected the problem and re-uploaded the workflows on the server. Thanks a lot for the heads up (and I wonder why I didn't get any sort of warning on my own Mac)
If you redownload them from the same link, importing should be fine now.
    Sorry about that.

(and BTW, I'm glad people find these workflows useful!)

Instead of using the Tags icon. Here are a couple options.

    1) Tag icons by Jono, preview below and grab zip of both here if you like: http://www.iconaholic.com./downloads.html#tagging
I also uploaded here so it might be easier: http://d.pr/f/JI1U

    2) Openmeta logos hosted on the google openmeta repository. Made by indev.ca which are here: http://openmeta.googlecode.com/files/OpenMetaLogos.zip or http://d.pr/f/y57m

I definitely prefer option 1 but both are better than the tags icon imo. I have been using the Jono tag icons since my scope filter for Alfred v1 and it looks nice.

Well, I just created a workflow for JSTOR: http://www.alfredforum.com/topic/501-jstor-searches/
The workflow uses modifier keys to restric the searches to different subgroups.

I don't know if it is doable, but could the localization be provided as some sort of a plugin containing the corresponing .lproj?
Then the plug-in would have to be updated by whoever provided it, without slowing down the releases. You also wouldn't take the blame for any lack of quality in the localization work…
    Just a thought :-)

    Hi All,

I jsut created a simple workflow to performs searches on the JSTOR academic digital library search engine.
    http://www.jstor.org

The Workflow offers 3 modifier keys to refine the searches:
Ctrl: for searches restricted to Journals
Alt/Option: for searches restricted to Books
Cmd: for searches restricted to Pamphlets

The workflow is available here (zipped archive)

Update (Feb 1st): I updated the version on the same link with the modification “hankydysplasia” submitted belowe just in case people don't read down the thread and miss his link. Now includes an option for searching for MESH terms witht he Alt key down (and a nicer-looking icon).

Search Mail.app for email messages matching the search query passed.

    http://d.pr/f/FVd2

A few have reported with this not working so I went back and added the option in mdfind to search in a specific folder so that hopefully it would find those results. Report any issues

UPDATE: Based on schoeps comment below, I realized that the search I was performing was queueing off of kMDItemKind == 'Mail Message' and depending on your local language, that may not be the appropriate value. So I changed it to search on kMDItemContentType which should be the same across the board. I have confirmed that it works in English and Italian at least.

UPDATE: I removed the -onlyin argument from mdfind. Removing the specified folder helps in finding the files with alternate language OS's.

Correct, the same thing could be done with a filter but you cant format the way it is shown. I made an extension for Alfred v1 that did this very same thing with a filter. It would show the subject of the email as the title but would only show the file path as the subtext. By using a script filter I can make it show other useful information. I can make the subtext show who the email is from and other data as well.

This is a workflow to support killing a process (as opposed to quitting an app). It uses the new infrastructure to list the processes that match a given name, e.g., 'kill java' will list all of the processes that include 'java' in their names. Holding down 'alt' will do a 'kill -9' instead of a regular kill.

Script url for download - http://tedwi.se/u/cx   This is my first workflow in the v2 beta so I'm looking for input as well.   Ted Wise http://tedwise.com
