  1. @dslkjdskljfdsk Thanks for the update. Could you provide more information? Alfred version macOS version Dropbox app version Dropbox settings; Do you have it set to store files locally or cloud-only? Is the path you added where the files are really stored, or a symlinked/alias location? If it's the latter, what is the actual file storage location? Could you also provide the output of file troubleshooting for a few files so that we may take a look? Cheers, Vero
  2. OneDrive released the change mere days ago, so it may take a few days and the help of a few community members to work out exactly what the implications of these changes will be. For example, we have now established the new location of the OneDrive data, for which there's an easy solution; Adding the new location to the search scope. If there are specific issues with search you're experiencing, do share them (with as much background information as possible) and we'll always be happy to help you work out what's happening. It's also worth searching the forum for answers first - as you may find others have already documented their solution! Cheers, Vero
  3. @ilmonito Try right-clicking the workflow in the sidebar and choosing "Reveal in Finder"; You should then be able to delete it manually. Is OneDrive set to store your files locally or cloud-only? In any case, I would encourage you to back up your Alfred preferences to avoid future issues. Cheers, Vero
  4. @drjmcmillan Microsoft have just announced major changes to their products over the past few days, which is likely the source of your issue. From Microsoft's own OneDrive announcement page's comments section: "Spotlight can no longer index the folders, well maybe it will, but the ability to search has gone for the time being until, if, it sorts itself out. This is a major failing.” As far as I can see, it may be as simple as adding ~/Library/CloudStorage to your search scope, so could you please try this? [Edited to add: The issue you're linking to is a bug in macOS Monterey's Migration Assistant and is documented here. With the help of our wonderful community, we were able to establish what the issue was, and provide workaround solutions to the macOS bug.] Cheers, Vero
  5. It should continue to work provided you're using the legacy Evernote version, from before they switched to Electron. When Evernote switched to Electron, they stopped supporting AppleScript, which is needed for the workflow. You can download the relevant version of Evernote here: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  6. @rehashed Here's a wordier explanation of essentially the same thing as @gandalfi's suggestion, if you need more details: https://www.alfredapp.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/give-files-nicknames-to-find-them-faster/
  7. Can you clarify what this is in response to? If you're seeing new items added in 1PW are shown in Alfred's list, then Alfred's looking at the right collection. Please be more specific as to which items aren't found or what the issue is because based on the information and screenshots you provided, 1. Alfred is listing the correct items and 2. Bookmarks are shown in your Alfred results when you use the keyword "1p". Have you tried typing "1p" followed by the name of the bookmark you need rather than "1p" on its own?
  8. All I offered was a different workflow, which I knew worked as I created it. It's likely the original file from Packal was corrupted, and re-downloading it fixed the issue. Glad you're all sorted.
  9. @tillus Can you please try downloading the workflow linked here using Safari, and checking that you don't have any unexpected extensions running in Preferences > Extensions: https://github.com/alfredapp/snippet-trigger-email-signatures-workflow/releases/latest/download/Trigger.Email.Signatures.with.Snippets.alfredworkflow As per my earlier reply, I suspect you have either a browser plugin or third-party unzipper that is trying to manipulate the workflow upon download. Please take a careful look at your Mac's background apps, as you may have forgotten about its existence. Do you still see the "Unable to import" error?
  10. @tillus So can you confirm whether you still have issues with any workflow at all? Yes, in the future, if you could please either reply to one relevant thread (ideally the specific workflow's thread), rather than post in four different threads. I've now removed the other posts in other threads to keep the conversation focused to on.
  11. @bargepole We'd love to suggest multiple alternatives but, so far, few services appear to meet the minimum requirements of files being stored locally, always available and syncing reliably with no delay. We're all ears if anyone has been using services/apps that meet these essential requirements.
  12. It's not "kind of sad"; the user reported that they had resolved their issue - they weren't left in the lurch. If you are having issues importing workflows, check both the point made by @ppolang as Alfred needs the preferences to be stored locally and always available, and the suggestions below: It's more likely that you're unable to import a workflow for one of the reasons below: Corrupted download: Try redownloading in case the file didn't finish and you only have a partial file Using a third-party unzipper that tries to unzip the workflow: Disable the unzipper or use a different browser Incompatible workflow: The version of the workflow may not be compatible. If you can provide a link to the workflow in question, the exact error message you're seeing, and let us know which version of Alfred and macOS you're on, we'll be happy to help.
  13. Yes, it's quite essential to wait until the reindex is complete Glad you're all sorted!
  14. @bperez-utah This is important information, however. It means that Alfred is being shown a 1Password file of some sort, but it may not be the correct one. When you open the Alfred 1Password preferences, do you see a full list of 1PW bookmarks? If you manually add a new one to 1Password, does it get added to the list in Alfred? This will allow us to establish whether Alfred is presenting you with the correct vault/3rd party file, or an old one that might be sitting on your Mac as legacy from a previous version. Next, could you please click "Advanced" in the bottom right of the Alfred 1Password preferences and copy the full path listed under "Discover Automatically" and paste it here?
  15. @Fingolfin Welcome to the forum! May I ask if you migrated your preferences from a previous Mac? We're almost exclusively hearing about indexing issues on Monterey from users who have migrated from a Time Machine backup or a previous Mac. If that applies to you, please take a look at the guide to troubleshooting indexing on Monterey and carefully follow the instructions, which will help you work around the bug in the macOS Migration Assistant: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/monterey/ Let us know how you get on
  16. @Vitalii The quickest way to switch if you have enough apps that Cmd + Tab isn't efficient is to pop up Alfred, type the first letter or two of the app you want, and select it in Alfred. Assuming it's an app you use often, it'll be at the top of the list within a letter or two. The other advantage is that you don't have to wonder whether the app is already running or not, it'll launch regardless of its previous state. You could create hotkey combos for individual apps by connecting a hotkey object to a launch Apps/Files object, but that still feels more convoluted (as it requires remembering individual hotkey combos for every app)
  17. @Efficient May I ask if you migrated your preferences from a previous Mac? We're almost exclusively hearing about indexing issues on Monterey are from users who have migrated from a Time Machine backup or a previous Mac using Apple's Migration Assistant. If that applies to you, take a look at this thread for the steps to rebuild your index properly (yes, even if Spotlight appears to be showing some results, and even if you did it 3 weeks ago). Please take the time to read the post carefully and follow all the steps. https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/monterey/ If the above doesn't apply to you, please send your Diagnostics file to info@ and provide the output of file troubleshooting examples for the files you're searching for, so that we can help you further.
  18. @bperez-utah You're using 1Password 7, so your issue won't be the same as the previous thread you linked to. The screenshot you provide includes 1Password bookmarks (results 3 and 4) so I'm not sure I understand what's amiss in the 1Password integration? Are you saying that Alfred is showing the wrong 1PW collection? Cheers, Vero
  19. @Koen_73 Could you provide more information as to the current state of your Mac? Did you do a full, fresh reinstall of your Mac from scratch? Or did you reinstall on top of the existing OS? Did you migrate any settings from a previous Mac or Time Machine after that? Can Spotlight and Alfred find files? Please provide specific examples including the output from the File Troubleshooter, and let us know exactly what you're typing into Alfred (including any prefixes like the "open" keyword) You said in the past that results appeared and disappeared when using the same keyword. Is this still happening? We can do our best to help you work out the underlying issues in your Mac's index, but keep in mind that these indexing issues are outside of Alfred so I can only guess what's happening in macOS with your specific install.
  20. @Alan He Put a space between "base" and "64" if you want to search for 64? It'll then be a word boundary.
  21. @hazephase Take a look at this explanation of what Secure Input is and how to narrow down what's causing secure entry to be locked: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/snippets/#secure-input In your case, it seems it be something within Firefox, so follow the instructions in the link; Disable all plugins, quit Firefox and relaunch. What happens? If it's fine, start using each plugin one at the time until you find the offender. In the past, plugins like LastPass and Bitwarden, amongst others, have been responsible for failing to release secure entry when they were done with it. I'd be grateful if you could let us know what it was in your case, as it may help future users Cheers, Vero
  22. @UKDEVELOPER I would encourage you to go through the step-by-step I linked above. As a rough guide: Quit all apps on your Mac, disable any launch-at-startup apps, and restart with as minimal a setup as possible. Open Alfred's Snippets preferences so that you can see any errors popping up (keep in mind that this updates every 10 seconds or so, so don't rush). Open a single app and use it, taking into consideration how you usually use it, e.g. think of the plugins as well when using your browser and disable them if needed to narrow down further. By doing one app at the time and not opening the dozen apps we all normally have open when we work, you should be able to narrow down which app or plugin causes the secure input issue. You'll need to be methodical, but as I said above, browsers and plugins are a good starting point as I recall LastPass, BitWarden and some other passwordy plugins causing issues in the past. Let us know your findings and we might be able to help you further. Cheers, Vero
  23. Please be more specific rather than simply saying "not working" * What you were doing when the issue happened * Whether you were able to replicate it a second time by performing the same action * Include any screenshots that might help us * For a workflow, check the workflow debugger for any error messages that could be helpful * Include the Alfred version & build number you are using (don't say "latest" - you'll find a version number in the Update tab of Alfred's preferences) * Include your macOS version The clearer the issue report, the more likely and easily we'll be able to help you resolve it.
  24. @BlushAudio Alfred will need both Accessibility and Automation for System Events, so check that Alfred is listed in both and that the box is checked next to them.
  25. @Bemawr Alfred should bring your most-used results to the top, so there are a few things to look at here: Ensure you're up to date: Are you using Alfred 4.6.1? Open Alfred's preferences to Advanced and check that "Top Result Keyword Latching" is ticked. This is the feature that tells Alfred to learn from your usage and keyword choices. If the box was already checked, click the "Clear Knowledge" button, which will re-create the knowledge database Once you've done this, see if Alfred remembers your choices by, for example, typing "s" and selecting the second app in the list and pressing return. Do this 2-3 times, then see whether it appears above the original first result. Let me know how you get on Cheers, Vero
