  1. @marfon On the problem Mac, if you open Alfred's preferences to the Workflows, right-click on the workflow you're having an issue with and choose "Reveal in Finder", are the same files revealed in that folder as on the other two Macs?
  2. @marfon Could you please check on your second Mac whether you have Optimised Storage disabled for iCloud? This is necessary in order for files to be available locally for Alfred to use. When Optimised Storage is enabled, your Mac will arbitrarily offload some files to save space, which means they're online-only, resulting in the kind of error message you see. You'll find more details about Optimised Storage here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/advanced/sync/#always-offline Let us know how you get on
  3. @zamboknee Could you please provide more details about what's not working with snippets? - Have you checked that Accessibility is granted to Alfred? Have you tried removing and re-adding Alfred to ensure macOS is "nudged" into seeing that you've granted it? - Do you always / sometimes see the red error message after a restart or does it only happen after using certain apps? (e.g. your browser) - If you launch TextEdit (a simple and native app, ideal for testing) and try to expand your snippet, what do you see? Does the keyword disappear, does the snippet content appear, do you hear an error beep? - If your snippet expands in TextEdit, in which apps do you see a different behaviour? - What is your snippet keyword? What is the content that should be pasted? The more information you provide, the easier it'll be for me to help troubleshoot what's happening on your Mac
  4. @dcw96161 Could you please share your workflow, or at least a screenshot of your workflow? Is your workflow triggered with a keyword or a snippet? Keywords are typed into Alfred to trigger a workflow, whereas snippets are typed in a third-party app, e.g. in your text editor or mail client, to trigger the workflow without launching Alfred first. Seeing your workflow would be very helpful so that we know what you're expecting to do with the "rf" keyword.
  5. @Ucalypthus Welcome to the forum! Could you please provide the output of a few File Troubleshooting checks you've done?
  6. @arijon First, apologies, I've edited your post to remove the links for your own privacy. Does this only happen in Polymail? If you use TextEdit, what behaviour do you see? This is a native, basic macOS app and the best place to test any snippet and clipboard behaviour. It's likely that you'll need to contact Polymail and discuss this with them, as they'll be able to give you more details on whether they're manipulating the clipboard content resulting in changing behaviour in different scenarios.
  7. Hi there, We have set up this forum to give Alfred users a place to talk about the latest features, swap workflows, themes and ideas. Please familiarise yourself with the Community Guidelines, and ensure that you fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile before taking part in Powerpack-specific conversations (such as workflows and Powerpack-only features). What is the forum for? The forum is for: Discussing workflows you're using and new ones you create: The workflows feature is extremely powerful and you'll be able to extend Alfred in numerous ways. Chat with fellow workflow creators and swap ideas! Sharing how you use Alfred's features: Got a great custom search? A new theme you love? Did something really cool with Workflows? Let community members know so that they can do the same. Finding answers when you're stumped: Alfred is generously documented, and the preferences contain question mark icons which take you to the relevant support pages. You can also type "help" and your search term in Alfred. If you're unable to find an answer, search the forum to see if anyone else has asked the same question. Still can't find it? Start a thread in the relevant forum section with as much details as you can, so that we, and the community, can help you out. Most of all, remember to have fun and be kind to fellow community members. Cheers, Vero Alfred co-founder
  8. @howdytom Could you please try dragging in an individual file from the volume in question? E.g. a document, PDF, image rather than the volume itself? This should provide some more insight. Have you contacted Apple for support with this as your issue is a Spotlight issue at its core? If you do, I would recommend focusing your issue specifically on finding results in Spotlight without mentioning Alfred or other third-party tools you're using, as this may sidetrack the discussion away from getting the help you need. Let us know how you get on
  9. @albertkinng It's always worth asking the Taskade community (e.g. if they have a forum) as there are most likely cross-over fans of Taskade and Alfred who have the right knowledge to help create such a workflow.
  10. @jesused Good to hear you're keen to use the Powerpack! Instead of offering discounts for various groups like students, seniors, folks in different locations, etc, or running seasonal promotions, we've chosen to give away the core version for free and price Alfred's Powerpack as affordably as we can for everyone to take advantage of every day As such, we don't offer further discounts. You can purchase a Single User license for the current version of Alfred, or the Mega Supporter license, which includes all future updates to Alfred for Mac for free.
  11. @Luciano Flehr Welcome to the forum! Try slowing down key events, as WhatsApp isn’t a native app and may need a bit more time to process actions. https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/snippets/#partial Let me know how you get on 😊
  12. Your issue is different to the ones above; As mentioned in your other post, try slowing down key events.
  13. @wovag44787 You may need to slow down key events, which means that slower apps or Macs under heavy load get a little more time to perform actions before pasting. You'll find more details here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/snippets/#partial
  14. @kuirin Welcome to the forum The spell and define built-in features are in fact spellcheckers, and the available languages for this are provided by a macOS API. This is unlikely to include custom installed dictionaries. We have seen other workflows where people are using custom dictionaries, so it would be worth taking a look around to see how they've worked with them.
  15. @jwm That means there may be a different issue happening on your Mac. Have you modified or remapped the Cmd + V hotkey combo or are you running a different app that may be interfering with the normal operation of the Cmd + V paste command? Can you use Cmd + C to copy from the Clipboard Viewer, then Cmd + V to paste to the frontmost app? I would also suggest creating a new user account on your Mac temporarily, activating your Powerpack and seeing whether you're able to use the Clipboard History normally on that profile. This could indicate that something on your primary profile is interfering. The more details you can share in your replies, the more likely we'll be able to help you get to the bottom of the issue on your Mac [Moved to Discussion & Help]
  16. @renforter If you re-granted Accessibility permissions, this may be all that was needed for macOS to get kicked into gear. Let us know how you get on
  17. @jwm Could you please follow the first step? Remove Alfred from Accessibility and re-add, rather than just unchecking and rechecking the box. This will ensure that macOS correctly re-grants the permission.
  18. @jwm Welcome to the forum Could you please provide more details about what's not working with snippets and clipboard? - Have you checked that Accessibility is granted to Alfred? Have you tried removing and re-adding Alfred to ensure macOS is "nudged" into seeing that you've granted it? - If you launch TextEdit (a simple and native app, ideal for testing) and try to paste from the Clipboard Viewer by browsing down to an item and pressing Enter, what happens? - If your Clipboard entry pastes in TextEdit, in which apps do you see a different behaviour? The more information you provide, the easier it'll be for me to help troubleshoot what's happening on your Mac
  19. @renforter Could you please open TextEdit to a blank document, then pop up the Clipboard History Viewer, browse down a few items in the list and press Return? Is the correct item pasted? If it isn't, then please open macOS System Settings to the Privacy & Security section > Accessibility. Remove Alfred from the list, then use the [+] button to re-add Alfred manually to the list. Try the action above again and let me know how you get on. If the correct item pastes into TextEdit, could you then please clarify which app you're using when you're encountering the issue where the wrong item is pasted? Could another app that manipulates the clipboard be running on your Mac, potentially interfering with the Clipboard's normal operation? Let me know and I'll be happy to help you further
  20. @Thanos Welcome to the forum! If you open System Settings > General > Login Items, is Alfred included in the "Open at Login" list? I would suggest you remove and re-add (via the [+] button) Alfred to the launch items, just in case there's been some corruption in macOS in the upgrade to Sonoma (which is a fairly common occurrence). If the issue persists, could you please provide your Diagnostics file, which you can get by typing "?diagnostics" into Alfred? You can then email it to our info@ email address so that I can take a look.
  21. @wellerpond I should have been a little clearer in my first reply; Microsoft Office apps (Word, Powerpoint, etc) and Adobe apps, if memory serves me right, do not store their recent documents in a format that allows third-parties to read them. As such, the list you'll have in the Microsoft app will be all files you've opened recently, whereas the list in Alfred will only include those opened in Alfred. If you use Pages, TextEdit or another macOS native app, you'll see matching results in macOS and Alfred, as Alfred is able to read the recent docs list from the app.
  22. @Eseila Take a look at the indexing troubleshooting page, and use the Troubleshooter to find out whether your Mac’s metadata needs to be rebuilt. Let us know how you get on 😊
  23. @wellerpond This list of recent documents is provided by the app itself. Which apps have you tested this with? Alternatively, if the app itself doesn't maintain a list of recent documents (e.g. Microsoft Office apps), the list you'll see is files you've opened via Alfred with this app over time.
  24. I'll nudge @bogdansrc (the Dash developer) to lend a hand here as the solution may be helpful to other users who come across that same issue.
  25. @jcyrilyee Welcome to the forum Could you please drag Activity Monitor and any other app you can't find to Alfred's File Troubleshooter first? This should give some insight into why they're not found: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/
