  1. @byzcath Welcome to the forum! To get your free Alfred 4 Powerpack license code, you need to request it here by entering your old license details. https://www.alfredapp.com/shop/upgrade/ I've had a look and can see you haven't requested your new license yet. You'll then be issued a new license by email, which you'll be able to activate in Alfred 4. Cheers, Vero
  2. @bazerman Have you tried Alfred's built-in Google Suggest workflow? Go to the Workflows tab > Examples > Google Suggest. As far as I can see, it does the same thing as that workflow Cheers, Vero
  3. @Stargate2077 If you haven't already emailed us on info@, please do so. If you've already emailed us, I'll get to you as soon as possible. Cheers, Vero
  4. @Carle_liu If you're having any license issues, please pop an email to our info@ address with your details, as we deal with these queries privately Please bear with me as it may take me a little while to get through the busy release inbox! i'll get back as soon as possible. Cheers, Vero
  5. @xilopaint @JaxGirl Always email us on our info@ address for individual/private queries like email address changes. Just please keep in mind that it's an extremely busy release week, so I'm responding as fast as my fingers can type! Cheers, Vero
  6. Hi @vanderwal You can re-run the migration by following the steps in the last FAQ here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/getting-started/migration/#re-run Please note that this will overwrite any changes you've made in v4, so keep track of anything you've changed and want to keep (e.g. export any workflows and snippets to reimport later, or copy any custom searches for use later) Cheers, Vero
  7. There is no waiting time for the vast majority of users as emails are sent instantly. Only some users who use Apple's mail service experienced this issue due to Apple over-filtering our emails, which is something we couldn't have predicted. I'm responding to everyone as efficiently and quickly as possible today.
  8. @ven Some users on @me.com don't appear to have received their free upgrade, likely due to Apple being overzealous in stopping our emails. We've since resolved this, but if you haven't already emailed us on info@, please do so now and I'll reissue your details. Please bear with me as I'm single-handedly dealing with a full inbox of excited Alfred users, so I'm working my way through each and every email Cheers, Vero
  9. @Tatarin We've been using this workflow with Alfred 4, and it's working as well as ever As with other users earlier in the thread: Make sure you're using Evernote from Evernote.com not from the App Store Download the correct version of the workflow from the first post of this thread under "Download Evernote 9 beta 3" If you're seeing any issues, could you please pop up Alfred's debugger and let me know what error messages you're seeing? https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/advanced/debugger/ Cheers, Vero
  10. @OmarKN If Alfred won't let you set that particular combo, it's likely already used by another app on your Mac, which is intercepting it before Alfred is even aware you've pressed that combination. On a fairly vanilla macOS, the Shift + Ctrl + numbers combination is usually free so take a look at what installed apps you might have installed that use these combos. Cheers, Vero
  11. @panayotoff Can you please provide more details? What hotkey brings up the Snippets? Do you have any keyboard modifiers that may be causing a certain hotkey combo to be recognised? Please provide screenshots so that I can help you further. Cheers, Vero
  12. @panayotoff Could it be that you're seeing the Clipboard Viewer instead, which is set to Cmd + Alt + C by default? Check both Features > Clipboard and Features > Snippets, where you can remove the hotkey combo by selecting the field and pressing backspace to clear it. By removing this, you won't accidentally trigger it Cheers, Vero
  13. @RobJ If you're seeing that error when trying to rebuild your Mac's index, I'm assuming you're on macOS Mojave. If that's the case, pop open your System Preferences to the Security & Privacy tab > Privacy > Full Disk Access, and add Terminal to the list of permitted apps. You can then go through rebuilding using Alfred's reindexing, and won't see the error message. (Though please let us know if you get any other error message, as this could indicate an indexing issue). Once you've typed your password into Terminal, the full reindex can take up to an hour, though it's usually much quicker. Beyond this, be sure to check the Indexing Troubleshooting guide, in case you've moved the files you're looking for and they're no longer in Alfred's index. If the issue persists, please give details of: - The file's name and path - Whether any other files like it are found, or whether no files are found - Whether these are normal files or part of a cloud-based service (in which case the actual file may not be on your Mac, just a representation of it until you need it) You can also use the Alfred Metadata Tool to work out whether any of the metadata that *should* be included with your file is present: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/mdls/ Cheers, Vero
  14. @Tonycr46 If Spotlight isn't returning results, then that's the source of your issue; Alfred (and any other third-party app relying on the same metadata index) won't be able to find results either. You haven't said what kind of metadata can be seen if you install the Metadata Tool as I recommended, but I'm assuming there's some corruption there. First, launch System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Full Disk Access Add Terminal to the list of apps Launch Alfred's preferences to the Advanced tab, click "Rebuild Metadata index" and check the box for "Delete /.Spotlight-V100" When Terminal launches, enter your password and hit return Keep an eye out for any error messages, and let us know if there are any Wait an hour or so to allow your Mac's index to be rebuilt You should now have a freshly rebuilt index, and Alfred, Spotlight and others should return results. Cheers, Vero
  15. @Tonycr46 As a basic check, are you using Mail.app for your email? This workflow is intended specifically for users who use Mail.app, and won't find results from other email clients or web-based email sources. If you're indeed using Mail, can you please try the various keywords with the simplest search term possible you would expect to find? This file filter is very simple: It searches for com.apple.mail.emlx files In the search scope ~/Library/Mail Take a look at the objects in the workflow to see if any need changing for your particular configuration. You can also check that your Mac's metadata is complete and that using the Alfred Metadata Tool (https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip), your email files show the correct file type and are in the correct location. If the metadata doesn't seem complete, then rebuild your Mac's index, and you should be good to go Cheers, Vero
  16. Go to the Workflows preferences, create a new workflow, add a File Filter object and double-click the File Filter object to see the following settings: Go to the Advanced tab, then follow the instructions provided in this thread, as well as the other thread in which you responded. If you need specific help, please give more details of what you're trying to achieve so that we can help you. Cheers, Vero
  17. This is by design, as the right arrow can only do one action or the other. If you take a look at both the File Search > Actions preferences and the File Search > Navigation prefs, the subtext says that "By default, → shows the action panel for the selected result." and (in the Nav prefs) indicates the alternative way to navigate in and out. Cheers, Vero
  18. @mari Alfred will switch to the fallback searches if there are no matching results found on your Mac, so it looks like out of the available files within your defined search scope, none match "ege". Take a look at the Indexing Troubleshooting page here, as it walks you through the possible steps: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/ It may be that your Mac's metadata index would benefit from being rebuilt, if you expect to find a relevant file within your search scope (defined on the Default Results preferences tab) and it's not appearing. You can rebuild your index from Alfred's Advanced preferences. If you're expecting to find a file, could you please let us know what file type, what the path is and provide a screenshot of your Default Results prefs? Let us know how you get on Cheers, Vero
  19. If by "command", you're looking for a hotkey to bring up the filtered 1Password search only, you can set up a workflow as follows: Hotkey object with a hotkey combo of your choice Connected to a Show Alfred utility Set the Show Alfred utility to the argument "1p " (note the space after 1p) and cursor to the right You can then use your hotkey combo to pop up Alfred with "1p " pre-filled so that you can just start typing the name of the 1Password bookmark you're looking for Cheers, Vero
  20. @lemikeone This is already possible, depending on what you're trying to achieve. For example, if you take a look at Alfred's built-in Getting Started workflows, which you can access in the Workflows preferences, under the [+] button > Getting Started > Clipboard, you'll find a "mergeclipboard" example: The content of the Copy to Clipboard object is {clipboard:2}, {clipboard:1}... {clipboard:3} Which means it'll paste three clipboard items at once. You can even set the "Mark as transient" option to avoid this item being added back into your clipboard. Alternatively, there's the option of using Snippet Triggers to paste the clipboard content, so that you can be more granular in which item you're pasting, all without popping up the Clipboard Viewer. If you can provide an example of what you're trying to do, we can help you work out the best way to do it Cheers, Vero
  21. In case you haven't seen our tweet from a few days ago... Prepare your keyboards and stretch those finger muscles, Alfred 4 is coming in June! We've posted a very high-level list of just some of the features and improvements you can look forward to here: https://www.alfredapp.com/v4/ You'll answer find answers to questions about upgrades, and an email signup if you'd like to hear about Alfred 4 as soon as it's available!
  22. @s95hc8 There's an even simpler way to search using Finder (Spotlight's Finder search); Go to Alfred's Advanced preferences, and have a look at the three options below the Action Modifier in the right column. Alt + Return should be set to "Search with Spotlight" by default, but you can use any of these modifiers, so that you can simply hit Alt + Return on your query to launch Finder with the relevant search. Cheers, Vero
  23. @weqopy I'm on the same version of macOS and Alfred, and haven't been able to replicate the issue you're seeing. If you have TextEdit open, type into TextEdit, then pop up Alfred, do 12/3 and hit Enter, does your keyboard still work normally? If so, it may be an issue with Chrome itself. You can try switching Alfred's Focusing mode to "Compatibility" mode in Appearance > Options, which may help Cheers, Vero
  24. Hi @MoodyShaa Pop an email to our info@ email address with your name and details, and I'll help locate your details. Cheers, Vero
  25. @polle Could you please take a look at the debug log to see whether it reports any errors? Which version of Alfred, macOS and the workflow are you using? Also, on the Twitter website, if you go to your settings > Apps, is AlfredTweet now added as an app with permissions? The more information you can provide, the easier it'll be for us to help you, as this workflow should still be working fine Cheers, Vero
