  1. @an_User To get started, you'd need to find out whether EasyFind has AppleScript support, and whether there's a way to pass the information from Alfred to it. If it's possible to communicate with EasyFind, then you can take it from there. Hopefully some fellow EasyFind users on the forum will be able to lend a hand. Cheers, Vero
  2. @Alexander As with the user above, please download and install the Alfred metadata tool, drag the app in there and paste the results so that we can see what information macOS is providing about the app. I've deleted your second thread about this as it didn't add any useful additional information. You can keep your replies in this thread for ease of tracking responses. Cheers, Vero
  3. @honkingmanuka As with other users earlier in the thread: Make sure you're using Evernote from Evernote.com not from the App Store Download the correct version of the workflow from the first post of this thread under "Download Evernote 9 beta 3" Provided you've followed these instructions, results should be returned in Evernote. If you use any other versions (wrong version of the workflow or App Store version of Evernote), the workflow won't be able to return results as they won't be in the correct location for it to access them. Please provide more details of the exact builds you're using for macOS, Evernote and Alfred if you're still having issues. Cheers, Vero
  4. @mimez Please make sure that you update to Alfred 3.8 if you're using an older build. Take a look at this thread for details: Cheers, Vero
  5. @Rafal Take a look at your workflows; Are you using an Emoji workflow by any chance? If so, take a look at this thread: https://www.alfredforum.com/topic/11957-alfred-pastes-the-same-snippet-multiple-times/?do=findComment&comment=63763 A few workflows were affected by a particular user-created framework; while Alfred intrinsically won't allow two instances to be launched from the Applications folder, these workflows forced a new instance to be created, resulting in quirky issues like the one you're seeing. Make sure you update the workflow(s) affected by it, of which there shouldn't be many. Cheers, Vero
  6. @Rafal Are you using any third-party apps that could be interfering with Alfred's Clipboard, such as another clipboard manager, snippets app? Are you using Karabiner or a third-party keyboard that could be sending mixed messages? Also, could you please launch Activity Monitor and ensure that you don't have more than one instance of Alfred running? Cheers, Vero
  7. @KarenZ You'll now be able to add more images; New members are restricted in the amount they can post within the first few days, to help us keep a handle on spam accounts. I've fast-tracked you to a fully fledged member Cheers, Vero
  8. @Rafal Could you please ensure that you're using the latest Alfred release (3.8) as this includes a fix to workaround a bug in Chrome? Once you've updated, if the issue persists, please try in apps other than Chrome and let me know how you get on Cheers, Vero
  9. @KarenZ As far as I can see, you're on macOS Mojave, but please let us know the exact version you're using for both macOS and Alfred. Could you please provide screenshots of the Snippets and Clipboard History preferences? And let me know what steps you've taken to start using the Clipboard/Snippets? Cheers, Vero
  10. For what it's worth, Alfred 1.2 in the App Store also doesn't take over Cmd + comma, and only uses it to show its own preferences when the Alfred search window is visible. Check whether you've set Cmd + , to be used by a workflow or another feature where you can customise the hotkey combo. You can always backup your preferences, then reset them, if you're not sure what you've done: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/reset-alfred/ Cheers, Vero
  11. Hi @KarenZ Welcome to the forum First, just to avoid confusion, there's a difference between Clipboard history and Snippets; Clipboard History is a less-permanent list of the items that were copied to the clipboard automatically as you pressed Cmd + C throughout the day. Snippets are manually created in the Snippets preferences (of copied from the Alfred Clipboard History using Cmd + S if you already have Clipboard History entries) for the purpose of saving longer term. It sounds like Clipboard History hasn't been set up correctly yet on your Mac, so first, ensure that you've set it up using the following instructions: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/clipboard/#clipboard-history Next, if you're on macOS Mojave, you'll need to ensure that Alfred was granted Accessibility permissions before Clipboard History and Snippets can work: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/getting-started/macos-mojave/#integration Let me know how you get on! Cheers, Vero
  12. @juliosecco For help with a particular workflow, pop a post in the relevant workflow's thread, rather than starting a new thread without any context. If it's a workflow that doesn't already have a forum thread, please ensure that you link to the workflow you're referring to, and include details of what issues you're seeing. In its current form, your post doesn't contain anywhere near enough information for anyone to help you. If it stopped working, there's likely some useful information in Alfred's debugger, which you should include in your post: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/advanced/debugger/ Cheers, Vero
  13. @centumstar It will indeed be 9 years since Alfred first launched on Thursday. We aren't planning on marking Alfred's birthday with a discount; Alfred offers you great value already, with the immensely flexible features, so you'll get your money's worth through the innumerable hours you'll save with the productivity boost the Powerpack will bring you. With the Mega Supporter license, you get a lifetime of updates to Alfred for Mac, so buy a license today and you never need to pay for updates again. Even with the Single User license, users get great value with an app that continues to evolve and improve, an incredible community of users here on the forum, as well as discounted upgrades for future versions. Once you purchase a Powerpack license, be sure to take a look around this forum and our blog, which are filled with great tips to make your Mac life more efficient and more fun. Cheers, Vero
  14. @Snaidis Could you give an example of why you'd want to edit something you copied to clipboard, and how you'd be then using the manipulated text clip? If you're editing it for pasting once, then just paste it in your destination and edit it there. If you want to edit it with the intention of pasting it many times after, select it in the Clipboard Viewer and press Cmd + S to save it as a snippet where you'll then be able to edit it. If you can give some more context of what you're trying to do, we might be able to help you work out the best way to do it. Cheers, Vero
  15. @centumstar Welcome to the forum For single-version license holders, we offer a discounted upgrade when a new version is announced, but we can't provide details of exact costs ahead of time! If you want to ensure that you get all future versions of Alfred for free, opt for the Mega Supporter license. Cheers, Vero
  16. @dtong Welcome to the forum Take a look at the Appearance Options, where you can set where you want Alfred to appear; On the default screen, mouse screen or active screen. Here's more about the Appearance options: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/appearance/#options Cheers, Vero
  17. @linlishuo Welcome to the forum There are a few results for various tools called EasyFind online, so it would help if you could provide a link to it, so that we're definitely looking at the same tool. Fellow users can then help you work out whether there's a way to pass the search to EasyFind or not. Cheers, Vero
  18. Morning all! I've suggested to @mjwalfreds to join this conversation, so he can chat with some of our most experienced and active community members, so I'm sure he'll come and introduce himself soon Cheers, Vero
  19. @elgrayso The reason Apple servers used to be searchable is because the server itself would maintain a metadata index for the drive's content, which your local Mac could then use. Synology doesn't do anything of the sort. While it's possible to fudge a way for your Mac to temporarily index the contents of a shared network drive, as soon as it disconnects, it loses resolution of the content (which is also being modified by other users accessing the same drive). As such, any index you'd locally be holding would become outdated/stale. You can always use File Navigation to use Alfred's speedy navigation through the external volume, and then search within individual folders, which may be sufficient for what you need. Cheers, Vero
  20. You can deactivate an old Mac before e.g. returning it to your employer, and you can transfer the license within reason. If you ever have any issues with this, drop us an email on info@ and we'll be happy to help you out with any licensing issues Cheers, Vero
  21. @MilesAB Welcome to the forum To use the Google Suggest and Amazon Suggest workflows, which return results in-line, you'll need to use the workflows; They are built into Alfred, so follow the instructions here to get started with them: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/templates/ Cheers, Vero
  22. @fncll You can pop a post in the thread for that workflow with your findings: Either the workflow creator, or fellow users of Pinboard may be able to help you resolve this Cheers, Vero
  23. @fncll It's the first time I hear of this kind of issue; It looks like something must be dispatching a Cmd + L key combo (the Large Type combo) or another key combo you may have set for Large Type in workflows. Are you saying that the issue specifically only occurs when you type "p", don't press return and wait? Or does it happen when you type any text and wait with Firefox in the foreground? Does it occur with ANY other apps in the foreground? If you think you've disabled all third-party apps on your Mac that could be interfering, but still see it happening, try creating a secondary user account on your Mac, and testing the same thing there with absolutely nothing else other than Alfred and Firefox running. The more troubleshooting you can do to find out exactly when it does or doesn't happen, the more likely we can help you. This isn't a known issue or something anyone else has reported, so you'll need to do a bit of digging Cheers, Vero
  24. @Victor Guerrero Welcome to the forum I think you may be mixing up a few issues here, but essentially it's caused by an underlying Mojave bug. Here's how you can resolve it: First, domain.com as a folder shouldn't be an issue; You'll see both the URL (if you have the "Recognise URLs in Alfred main window" checked in Features > Web Search > URLs / History) and the folder. I've checked this on my own Mac on Mojave, and the name of the folder makes no difference as far as I can see. Secondly, looking at your Features > Default Results > Advanced screenshot, the file type is not correctly identified - assuming that's a folder you dragged in? Seeing a dyn.[bunch of numbers] file type instead of public.folder for your folder indicates that there's a Launch Services issue. In other words, the folders are not showing up in your results because Alfred doesn't have the information needed to recognise it as a folder file type. You can confirm this by installing Alfred's Metadata tool (https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip) and dragging in folders you can't find. The top section of the data should include "File Type: public.folder" if the Launch Services data is healthy, or a dyn.[numbers] if there's an issue. This appears to be a bug in Mojave where an issue with Launch Services crops up for users who've either restored from backup or upgraded. (Doesn't appear to occur for users who've fresh-installed Mojave). Could you please try rebuilding your Mac's LaunchServices using the command below? This should help macOS re-establish what file type apps should be, which should then return them correctly in Alfred's results. /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain user Once that's completed, you might find Finder & macOS will appear slow temporarily while all old cached icons are replaced. And finally, if you rebuild your Mac's metadata from Alfred's Advanced prefs, you should be able to completely refresh your Mac's index and remove the underlying corruption issues. Let us know how you get on Cheers, Vero
  25. @Prabhu Welcome to the forum. Preferences are not touched during updates, and your Powerpack should certainly not be deactivated. When you say that two of your Macs "lost registration", do you mean your Powerpack was deactivated in the Powerpack tab? Or that your customised preferences were no longer found? Could you please provide more details to the questions below: Do you use any "App cleaners" like CleanMyMac, etc? Do you sync your preferences? If so, what service are you using for syncing? Do you use Time Machine to backup your Mac? Which version of macOS and Alfred are you using? I'll then be able to provide more details on recovering your preferences or reactivating. Cheers, Vero
