  1. @therockmandolinist Taking a quick look at Pass, if the app itself can't be added, you may need to add Terminal to Alfred's ignore list if you'd like the app to be ignored altogether. The best way for this to be handled, however, is that if Pass copies items directly to the clipboard, these should be marked as transient by Pass, so that Alfred and any other clipboard managers know to ignore them. Cheers, Vero
  2. @tianshilei1992 If you go to the Workflows tab, click the [+] in the bottom left, under Templates > Clipboard > you'll find a "Paste as plain text from clipboard" workflow. Add your own hotkey, and you'll be able to do exactly what you need Cheers, Vero
  3. @Tacitus We don't recommend using the Apps folder in Dropbox, as some users have experienced issues with this particular folder (usually reserved for apps that use the Dropbox API) but you can create another folder in Dropbox. For example, I store mine in ~/Dropbox/Alfred/ You can find out more about using Dropbox/Apps here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/dropbox-apps-folder/ Cheers, Vero
  4. @vanclute I've had a look in our records and it appears you currently have a v2 license, which is why you won't see all of the features @deanishe is referring to. If you'd like to upgrade to v3, you can enter your v2 license details to upgrade at a discount here: https://www.alfredapp.com/powerpack/upgrade/ Cheers, Vero
  5. @andrew.li1987 Apologies for the slow reply! I must've missed your earlier post While it's not possible to hide the snippets themselves, and they'll always show below the categories, you can either: Set a different icon for each collection, making it more obvious which collection each snippet belongs to Or press return on a specific collection to only see the relevant snippets belonging to that collection If you know the keyword of the snippets you're using, you can either use text auto-expansion (where you type the keyword and it's automatically replaced by the appropriate expanded text) or use the "snip" keyword followed by the snippet title or keyword in Alfred's main window. You can find out more about the feature here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/snippets/ In short, there are lots of ways to access and use your snippets, but it isn't possible to remove them from view in the Snippets browser. Cheers, Vero
  6. @dakila Elaborating a little on what @vitor said: Alfred can be used to launch/trigger a script to process files in a given location, but you don't specify what app you'd like to launch and whether actions in that app can be automated using AppleScript for example. This will be an essential part of your puzzle Cheers, Vero
  7. @dakila Welcome to the forum Could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile first? This allows us to confirm that you're a registered Powerpack user. Cheers, Vero
  8. @vinster Take a look at this page for details of LDML formatting: http://www.unicode.org/reports/tr35/tr35-31/tr35-dates.html#Date_Format_Patterns It'll allow you to create more flexible date snippets than the default dynamic placeholders: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/clipboard/dynamic-placeholders/ Cheers, Vero
  9. @snsokstan Can you give an example of the snippet and keyword in your preferences, and what you're typing? This page might help: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/snippets/#snip-keyword Cheers, Vero
  10. @Chuck091956 Yes, you should be able to create a File Filter workflow for this purpose If you're new to workflows, here's an introduction with a guide to adding your first workflow from our built-in examples and templates: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/ And a guide to creating your own File Filter workflows: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/inputs/file-filter/ In your case, you'll want to set the file type by dragging in a Word document. You can set the Search Scope if you exclusively want to search in certain folders, or leave it blank to search Word docs on your entire Mac. To search for the content of the file, go to the Advanced tab of your file filter object, and click the [+] to add a kMDItemTextContent, which will allow you to search the text content. Check the boxes for both Word and Split. If you need any more details, please share your workflow in progress and fellow users can help you tweak it Cheers, Vero
  11. Keep in mind that apps like CleanMyMac can be vastly over-enthusiastic in deleting essential files. We occasionally get users who find themselves deleting Alfred preferences accidentally when using that app before an update, so I'd suggest being very careful when using it... Cheers, Vero
  12. @fasty_snb Please make sure you update to Alfred 3 from alfredapp.com if you're still using Alfred 1 from the Mac App Store. Alfred 1 is no longer supported, and isn't compatible with Dictionary changes in macOS Sierra. [Moving to Closed] Cheers, Vero
  13. @snewman Thanks for your post; We've had a look at this and, for wider themes, the left panel should get a better proportion of the available space. I've passed this on to Andrew for the next release. There isn't a way to turn off the preview icons altogether at this point. Cheers, Vero
  14. Hi @snsokstan welcome to the forum! Could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile? This is only visible to administrators, and allows us to confirm your Powerpack status when discussing Powerpack-related features. Cheers, Vero
  15. @ctwise Launch Alfred's prefs to Snippets and click on the cog in the top right; Under Tweaking, choose "slow down simulated key events". I believe that when we had a look into HipChat, we worked out that it was processing events out of order (possibly as a result of using a cross-platform UI framework). Slowing down key events resolved the issue, allowing it time to catch up with deleting keystrokes before pasting. Let me know how you get on. Cheers, Vero
  16. We provide a troubleshooting page for users who have issues setting Cmd + Space, as it's a hotkey that can be reserved by a few different things, as you identified: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/cmd-space/ Cheers, Vero
  17. @whee Further to this earlier discussion, I wanted to add that since Alfred 3.3, you can access Alfred's preferences by right-clicking the bowler hat to launch the preferences, check for updates or quit Alfred. That's five different ways of getting to the preferences Cheers, Vero
  18. Further to this, we've added another way to access preferences; From Alfred 3.3, you can right-click the bowler hat to show preferences, check for updates or quit Alfred Cheers, Vero
  19. Hi @Emyr Welcome to the forum It seems you've already identified CopyPaste Pro is interfering with Alfred. Alfred uses the macOS clipboard for snippets, so if another app is manipulating the clipboard outside of Alfred's control, naturally this will have an effect. You could try slowing down keypresses in Alfred's Snippets preferences under the cog in the top right > Tweaking > "Slow down simulated key events", or there may be an option in CopyPaste Pro that allows you to stop it from interfering with the clipboard. Cheers, Vero
  20. Hi @JonathanMarc Welcome to the forum Could you take a look at the steps listed on the Snippets troubleshooting page, and follow them carefully? It will take you through the steps to ensure that expansion is correctly set up on your Mac. Take a look at other apps in your Accessibility preferences, as well, as these may be interfering with Alfred's ability to recognise your keypresses or paste. https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/snippets/ Let me know how you get on! Cheers, Vero
  21. Hi @andrew.li1987 Welcome to the forum Could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile? This is only visible to administrators and allows us to confirm your Powerpack status first. We'll then be happy to answer your questions. Cheers, Vero
  22. @deanishe Nice, I like the cmd modifier for an incognito window - Beats the Chrome workflow I previously had @mrchow19910319 The workflow seems to work fine for me. Are you typing a complete URL (e.g. https://www.alfredapp.com) or a partial one (e.g. alfredapp.com)? Cheers, Vero
  23. @klinquist Welcome to the forum Have the snippets worked for you at one stage? Do they work upon restart until something locks secure input? Just a few ideas of what to try: - Are you running any browser plugins or accessibility apps[1] that could be using secure input and failing to release it? When it next happens, quit running apps one by one to see at which point it's released. - You could also try setting up a temporary second account on your Mac and using snippets there for a little while, to see whether everything works as expected on your second profile? [1] To see the list of apps that have Accessibility permissions, launch System Preferences to Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility. Cheers, Vero
  24. @James56766 I would suggest creating a new temporary user account on your iMac and trying to connect from there; This will help identify whether there might be something on your primary user account that's at the source of the inability to connect, or something that stops that Mac altogether from seeing your Remote. Let me know whether that provides any more insight Cheers, Vero
  25. @dfgh Welcome to the forum If you launch Alfred's prefs to the Workflows tab, click the [+] button in the bottom left, and choose Templates > Clipboard > Paste as plain text. Add the workflow and set your hotkey, and you'll be good to go! Cheers, Vero
