  1. Let say I have an action file that lets me archive the file I selected in Finder. Is there a way, once the file is selected, to archive this file just by hitting a shortcut key I would have set? Thank you.
  2. I don't know if this is possible but making Firefox the front app when it starts would be nice. As I was seeing nothing happening, I tried the workflow several times and ended having 7 firefox windows in the background :-)
  3. @Ritashugisha One more very promising workflow. As always! - While Google Chrome is my default browser, a Firefox window opened during my first startup. - "youprofile" commands did not work for me. Nothing happens after writing "youprofile"+ hitting enter. Any other command is working as advertised. Can we change the keywords to our likings or the workflow won't work?
  4. Is there a way to add a non empty separator?
  5. I would love to use it, but it doesn't work. I am getting no results.
  6. Great workflow. If you are looking for inspiration: https://github.com/dingyi/Alfred-Workflows
  7. @jared Thanks for this very helpful workflow.
  8. @Dean, Thanks for the fix you sent me . I tried it. As Jono mentionned it, Tab is still not working
  9. @RodgerWW This is really a great workflow. I love it so much that I was thinking "I need this kind of workflow for any application of my Mac" What I am looking for is a fast way to get the version of any application. So I would type "about" (or any keyword), then "tab", then would select the application I want to have the version (with up and down keys), then hit "enter", then a growl notification would appear with the requested information. Do you have any plan adding feature? That would be awesome.
  10. @MaximiliumM useful workflow. Naming the new folder before its creation is definitively a must have feature. With your workflow, I can use the "Create a new folder" file action in OS X Lion
  11. @deanishe I tried to use the workflow this afternoon. Here is what I tried: 1°) Deleted the workflow I had installed 2°) Installed a new copy 3°) Typed .sf in Alfred (no space, no tab). The list of my Saved searches appears. Select one. Hit tab -> nothing. 4°) Ran "mdfind 'kMDItemContentType == com.apple.finder.smart-folder" -> The list of my Saved searches appears. 5°) Changed a few words of the readme file, typed ".sf" in Alfred -> nothing 6°) Ran smartfolders.py from the command line. It puts something out (items and uid tags / saved searches files paths) What is the safest/best way to share the results with you?
  12. @willfarell no problem at all with this. I was just joking. WelI, trying
  13. Apparently, it is working fine when the browser (Google Chrome) is already opened when the keyboard shortcut is hit. So, adding a "pause" a workflow (I am thinking about the pause action in Keyboard Maestro) might be the solution.
  14. I want to create a workflow that opens 5 urls in a specific order. I used to use a hotkey workflow that I linked to 5 open url workflows. It worked as I wanted to. The last url in the workflow was the last tab to be opened by the browser (>> the first tab I saw after hitting the shortcut). This afternoon, I couldn't make it work. Let's say I have url A, url B, url C, url D in my workflow, I would get something like url D, url A, url B, url C in my browser. I tried to create one new workflow with the same urls. It worked. Then it didn't. I only tested it with Google Chrome 31.
  15. I don't get how I can search in a specific bookmark's folder. I thought I would click on the link, download a new workflow and would be done Could you be more precise on how I can accomplish it. Thank you.
  16. Amazing (Fastest) Alfred's Google Chrome workflow! Some feature requests: Is there a way one can search in a specific folder (ie typing workflow keyword, then the folder's name, then the bookmark we are looking for)? Would be very useful when one have 10000+ bookmarks classified in small folders of 20 or so bookmarks. Would love to be able to delete one or a selection of bookmarks from Alfred
  17. That is a amazing workflow! Already loving it. One thing I found "funny" is adding my password not hidden -> notification "Set Alfred Github password ***********". Is there a way to hide what I am typing in Alfred?
  18. Now that I have more than 200 workflows + assigned a keyboard shortcut to as many of them as I could, my keyboard might look like a weapon of massive destruction if not properly used (ie. closing a 40+ opened tabs in background window in Google Chrome ). I really like the Alfred's system commands confirmation windows. So, I would really like one object/object option that would let me add an "ask for confirmation" step so that I would really be aware of what I am doing. What do you think?
  19. On OS X Mountain Lion, I could not make the the tab (Browse/search within Smart Folder) work. I typed .sf then space then tab nothing happened. I also tried to set my own script filter using your example. I added the .todo keyword. As I typed the last letter of the keyword, Alfred fallback searches were displayed. I ran the above mdfind command. Got results. Didn't turned on the log in as I got results in the workflow too. Am I doing something wrong?
  20. If you don't mind typing a keyword/hitting a hotkey every time you find a file/folder, you can create a new workflow with your desired search scope. I did this for "Admin" folders like application settings folders and am pretty happy with the result I do not think you can't say to Alfred "exclude these folders" from the search scope. The logic is closer to adding all the folders / files types you want to search in to get the search scope you want. HTH.
  21. I use a pattern to name my files. I added some of these patterns in my clipboard (no snippets, just added to the clipboard history) I just tried to rename a file in Finder. As I hit the clipboard viewer hotkey, the file is not selected anymore so Finder considers the file as renamed -> I can't add my clip from the clipboard. I tested adding clips from the clipboard in Forklift and worked perfectly fine. An OS X mountain lion user.
  22. Awesome workflow! +1 a merge with David Ferguson's "chromebookmarks" workflow would be awesome too.
