  1. @gatek Do you have any other clipboard manager or keyboard modifier tools on your Mac that could be interfering with normal behaviour? Take a look at the Accessibility preferences (System Prefs > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility) for any apps listed there. If so, disable any of these temporarily which should allow you to identify which tool might be causing the unexpected behaviour. Cheers, Vero
  2. @lavalcas I'm guessing that Dropbox's latest change in policy where the "Public" Dropbox folder is no longer shared has gone live, so @Carlos-Sz will just need to update the link to the workflow. In the meantime, here's a download link using the copy of the workflow I had on my Mac I'll remove this link as soon as the official one is updated: [Link removed - See first post of this thread to get the latest version of this awesome workflow!] Cheers, Vero
  3. @elgrayso This isn't an Alfred feature, it's down to OS X itself; As you said yourself, Spotlight can't find the file either. Having said that, you could search by adding a wildcard (the star symbol), so that your search goes as follows: "[spacebar]*metabolic" You could even create a workflow to help you speed things up by upgrading to the Powerpack. Cheers, Vero
  4. @elgrayso Alfred searches from word boundaries, so you'll find the file by searching using "Panel" as there's a space before it, creating a word boundary. If you used spaces instead of dashes between words, e.g. "2017-02-03 AnyLab Metabolic Panel.jpg", you'd be able to find it using any of the words. This is assuming your Spotlight index is in good shape. If Spotlight can't find it either even with the word "panel", you may need to rebuild your Mac's index from Alfred's Advanced preferences. This can take up to an hour, and will result in OS X rebuilding the file index to ensure files are found in the future. Cheers, Vero
  5. @bossa Apologies for the delayed reply, I somehow missed this thread. This is a tricky one. With a wifi connection, the behaviour is more predictable; if you've set "Wake on Network" in the System Preferences > Energy Saver, Alfred Remote will be able to wake up your Mac, connect to it and send a new command, after you've slept your Mac either from Alfred itself or from Remote. Bluetooth is much more temperamental; it can depend on which version of OS X and iOS you're using, and you may find that you're unable to connect or wake your Mac. I'm on El Capitan, and I can't even get my Mac and iPhone to Bluetooth to each other (in Sys Prefs, completely outside of Alfred), so for more reliable behaviour, you'll be much better off using wifi Cheers, Vero
  6. @Fred If you're already using a v3 Single User license, it's not currently possible to upgrade automatically through our checkout (as you're already on the latest version of Alfred) but we'll be adding this in the coming months. In the meantime, drop us a line on info@ and we'll help you do this manually Cheers, Vero
  7. @nikivi This isn't a bug in Alfred; This will be something as simple as 1. A hotkey conflict with another app that's stealing focus away, or 2. Interference from another app with Accessibility permissions. To troubleshoot what's happening, first, change your Alfred hotkey and see whether the behaviour is resolved. Secondly, if you still see the behaviour, go to Alfred's Appearance > Options (bottom left) and change focusing to "Compatibility". [Moved to Closed, as it isn't a bug, but I'll carry on responding if you still have questions] Cheers, Vero
  8. @Shuyi This will be down to the workflow itself, and to the results Evernote provides. From the looks of it, the "ens" script filter is set to match on partial words, while "ent" is set to return results on full words only. Keep in mind that workflows are created by individual Alfred users (in this case @Carlos-Sz), so this isn't an Alfred bug; It's a difference between how you'd like it to behave vs how Carlos chose to create the workflow. Cheers, Vero
  9. @mlondon Have you tried to work out whether there's anything on your Mac causing this preference to be reset? I've got "Reduce transparency" permanently checked on my Mac, and the checkbox has never unticked itself - so it's unlikely to be an OS X bug. It may make more sense to try to get to the bottom of why this happens on your Mac Cheers, Vero
  10. @Shuyi Could you clarify; Can you get results for any of the Evernote workflow keywords, or none at all? Check the first post in this thread and ensure that you're using: - Alfred 3.3.1 - Evernote 6+ from Evernote.com (not from the Mac App Store - The latest version of the workflow from the first post of this thread? If you're using the up to date version of all three, the workflow should work great for you Cheers, Vero
  11. @nikivi Metadata all looks healthy. Have you tried simply renaming your file to something more specific? It's likely that there are just too many results for "math" and the file hasn't been used as recently as the other results. Alfred presents you with the 40 most relevant results for the file name; I can see you've got a huge number of files that will match "math" so see if renaming it will help you narrow down your search by typing a more precise file name. Cheers, Vero
  12. @nikivi Could you install the metadata tool and drag the "math" file to it? This will show you what file type it belongs to. You can download it here: https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip It may be that some files have different file types or aren't stored in the same location. I'll be able to provide more guidance if you paste the results of a metadata check. Cheers, Vero
  13. @nikivi I haven't had a chance to look at your workflow, but you may find the Arg/Vars utility useful, as it can be used to save a query as a variable if needed. Save it as a variable, then use {var:name} to use it later on in your workflow https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/advanced/variables/ Let us know how you get on! Cheers, Vero
  14. @Maddog Yes, you can create a workflow to paste as plain text using {clipboard:1} to grab the next item. In fact, I've already created a page that outlines how you can do this: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/clipboard/accessing-clipboard-history/#ideas Cheers, Vero
  15. @19000 Taking a look at your screenshots and your license, it looks like you're still using Alfred 2? I've tested this issue with Alfred 3, but please bear with me a few days and I will aim to test this further in Alfred 2 as well. In the meantime, I would recommend creating a temporary second user account on your Mac, and checking whether you encounter the same behaviour without the other apps you have installed on your primary user account. This will help narrow down whether it's a conflict issue with another app. Cheers, Vero
  16. @jakkkkkk It seems likely that you've installed a workflow in Alfred 3, such as Paste as Plain Text, and used Cmd + P to paste. Go to Alfred's Workflows tab and click the cog in the top left. Choose "Show hotkeys" under Display Options so that all hotkeys used by your workflows are shown in the sidebar. You should be able to identify the correct workflow and either remove or change the hotkey. I can see you posted the same question on Facebook, so I'll hide it there to keep the discussion here in one place. Let us know how you get on. Cheers, Vero
  17. Hi @kevnk! With the latest Alfred 3.3, you have much more control over merging clipboard content and pasting it the way you want. I've popped a reply in this thread with more details: Cheers, Vero
  18. @kevnk @pnuker @jaywang With Alfred 3.3, you can now essentially create your custom clipboard merging formatting Take a look at the built-in workflow example in Getting Started > Clipboard, where you'll see the bottom left example with title "mergeclipboard": https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/clipboard/accessing-clipboard-history/#example You can change this to be triggered with a hotkey, and paste using the exact format that suits your needs. Cheers, Vero
  19. @AlfredNewGuy Welcome to the forum! Could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile? This is only visible to administrators (Andrew and myself) and allows us to confirm you're a Powerpack user Thanks, Vero
  20. @erip If it's certificates-related as @deanishe suggests, it could be due to the GlobalSign issue from back in October. GlobalSign had issues with its certification for a few hours in October. The issue itself was quickly resolved, but a small number of users' certificates didn't seem to update. Here's the documentation provided by GlobalSign to clear certificate caches (scroll down for Mac version) https://support.globalsign.com/customer/portal/articles/1353318 You can then restart your Mac. This will clear cached certificates for any websites you visit, so your Mac will acquire new certificates next time you visit them. Cheers, Vero
  21. @macjohnmcc I'd suggest taking a look at your Search Scope (in Features > Default Results) and ensure that your external drive is not included in the search scope. Cheers, Vero
  22. @helloc @vitor iTunes contains quite a few keywords in its metadata: Keywords: Music, Radio, Apple Music, Apple Radio, iTunes Radio, Beats 1, Beats One, B1, iCloud Music Library, Apple Music Connect, My Music If you choose the app you want Alfred to open when you type "one", iTunes will make its way down the list of results. Cheers, Vero
  23. @zanthony I agree that it can be tricky to know why Cmd + Space isn't available; I'll look at improving the documentation, and we'll make a link to it more obvious from the General preferences in an upcoming update. Cheers, Vero
  24. @snewman Updating this thread to let you know that in the latest pre-release (3.3.1), we've improved proportions of the left panel in the wider themes You can update to pre-release by going to Alfred's Update tab and choosing pre-releases from the dropdown at the bottom. Cheers, Vero
  25. @19000 I've been experimenting with this, including using various different input sources for Chinese and Japanese. In all instances, using a Hotkey trigger to use the Selection in macOS has worked exactly as expected. Do you use any keyboard modifier apps or other clipboard tools that may be interfering and making it difficult for Alfred to copy the selection to clipboard? Take a look at any apps listed in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility. I would recommend disabling all apps aside from Alfred Text Service, and re-enabling them one at the time to see whether you can identify what may be conflicting. Cheers, Vero
