  1. @SaSaSushi Thanks - I've passed this on to CacheFly and will report on any progress on their part. We welcome input from other users who are still seeing this issue, as the more information we can pass back to CacheFly, the better. I'll update this thread with further info as well. Cheers, Vero
  2. @Kiwi To help other users, and so that we can feed the information back to Cachefly, could you take a moment to go through the two steps above? I'd be really grateful for your help as it's an issue we're not experiencing here. Cheers, Vero
  3. @Kiwi @SaSaSushi In case you haven't seen these thread updates, we'd be grateful for your help with the above if you get a chance to run through those two steps and give us your results Cheers, Vero
  4. We've spoken to CacheFly and they've asked for our help in resolving the residual issues following their intermittent outages from last night. If you're seeing "Unable to find zip" when updating, or are unable to download Alfred, please take a look at these two steps: First: please follow the link below and copy the output of the page into your forum reply: https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/CacheFlyDebug Second: please open the macOS Network Utility app, go to the Traceroute tab, and paste in "cachefly.alfredapp.com". The traceroute may take some time, then paste the results in your forum reply as well. We'll then be able to pass these reports to CacheFly to resolve the issue Cheers, Vero
  5. @Kiwi @SaSaSushi Thanks for letting us know. We've cleared the caches a few moments ago, so could you please try restarting your Mac and trying again? I'll keep an eye on this thread, so let me know how you get on. Cheers, Vero
  6. Hi @guice and welcome to the forum. It's likely that the app isn't correctly indexed by your Mac's metadata index. Open Spotlight's Privacy tab, drag the Applications folder in, then wait 30 seconds. Drag it back out of Privacy, and wait another 30 seconds. Type "reload" into Alfred to refresh the application cache, and you should be able to then find your apps Cheers, Vero
  7. @POR7O Yes, it's likely they've either blocked or changed their API and the workflow can no longer connect to it. While the creator of the workflow can no longer distribute it, you can always take a look at their terms to see whether you can personally update it for your private use. Having said that, it might make sense for users who are keen to use good translation workflows to put their heads together and find a new source for the translations! Cheers, Vero
  8. Hi @Virgilius Haufniensis Alfred doesn't hold or maintain his own index of files, and relies on your Mac's metadata to provide this information. Do you run (or have you previously run) any third-party tools that would manipulate your Mac's index? I appreciate that you've already done a "rebuild macOS metadata" a few times, but could you please run it again, ensuring that you check the box for "Delete /.Spotlight-V100" when Alfred presents you with that option? When Terminal pops up, take a close look at any error messages, which could indicate issues with the index being rebuilt. Give your Mac sufficient time to complete rebuilding the index, then search for your files. If you're searching for apps specifically, type "reload" into Alfred first, as Alfred holds a temporary cache of apps for speedier results. If you notice files you're searching for disappearing from Alfred again following a full reindex, please install the following Metadata tool, and drag one of those files to it: https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip Please paste the results here, so that we can see whether there's metadata missing for those files. Cheers, Vero
  9. @Yourname What happens if you let Evernote complete its launch, then type your keyword and search term again? This workflow needs Evernote running in the background in order to search and present you with results. You can let Evernote launch, then close the main window, so Evernote will appear in your Dock, but you won't have the main Evernote window open. When you select a result, you'll then see the specific window for that entry pop up. Cheers, Vero
  10. @Xavez This info isn't particularly useful in establishing where and what the file is. We'll also investigate this further to establish how iCloud shared files are treated by macOS, but in the meantime, could you please download the Metadata Tool here, and drag one of your iCloud files to it: https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip Copy the results into your reply here so that we can see what kind of metadata information is provided about the file, its location and type, etc Cheers, Vero
  11. @Mike Outram Nothing out of the ordinary in that respect (as far as I can recall setting up, at least!) Perhaps pop by the official IPBoard forum to see whether anything can be done to increase the session time. Cheers, Vero
  12. Hi @CincyTriGuy If the apps are installed normally but not found, it's likely that the apps aren't correctly indexed by your Mac's metadata index. Open Spotlight's Privacy tab, drag the Applications folder in, then wait 30 seconds. Drag it back out of Privacy, and wait another 30 seconds. Type "reload" into Alfred to refresh the application cache, and you should be able to then find your apps. If this doesn't resolve the issue for you, please take a look at our troubleshooting guide here: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/ Cheers, Vero
  13. @OnTheClock Apologies I missed your early reply! Thanks for adding your details to your profile At this point, I'm not sure how you'd do this (as it partly depends by what you mean by "a Gmail link", and how the Pocket workflows operate) so I'll pop this in the Workflows section to see if fellow users could help. Take a look at the Hotkey object, which can be used to grab the selected text in macOS to use as argument, which may be a starting point for you: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/triggers/hotkey/ Cheers, Vero
  14. @politicus Excellent, glad it was that simple Cheers, Vero
  15. @politicus Did you use Alt + Right Arrow (or tab in your case) to make sure you were actioning on both files? I've tested this on 10.11 and it works as expected, deleting both files. If you can confirm you were definitely seeing "2 files selected" when choosing the Delete action, I'll launch 10.10 and take a look on that particular OS. Cheers, Vero
  16. @testzdcrap Please pop an email to our info@ email address and I'll be happy to help you with any license questions. Cheers, Vero
  17. @Xavez Welcome to the forum! In order for us to help you work out whether this should show up in Alfred or not, we'll need some more details, as I'm not sure how shared iCloud files are stored/indexed. First, I'd recommend going through the steps on the Indexing Troubleshooting page. You'll be able to establish whether the files actually reside on your Mac and are found by Spotlight, and if so, whether you need to add any paths to your search scopes. https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/ Once you'e established the above, if you need further help, please post your findings here Cheers, Vero
  18. @Chiller I've tried to replicate this, but given that Alfred doesn't do anything special when starting a smart playlist, I haven't seen the behaviour you describe. The smart playlist, to which songs with 5* star ratings are added, never starts including non-rated songs from the same albums, whether started from Alfred or iTunes, and only plays the 5* songs as expected. I'll move this out of bugs and to Discussion & Help in case anyone else has any insight to add to this. Cheers, Vero
  19. @nikivi If you uncheck contacts from the Default Results, you shouldn't be seeing them in your results. Can you check what your prefs are set to in Default Results (check Advanced to ensure you didn't add in anything manually), and in Contacts > Advanced? Alternatively, there could be some bad metadata, so take a look at the mdls for files that are appearing when they shouldn't. Cheers, Vero
  20. @lesparte Welcome to the forum! You can simply launch Alfred's preferences to the "General" tab, and choose France as your location. You'll then be presented with the French version of Wikipedia (as well as the .Fr version of relevant websites where the option is available) instead Cheers, Vero
  21. @OnTheClock Welcome to the forum! Could you please fill in your Powerpack email address in your forum profile? This is only visible to admins but allows us to confirm your Powerpack status. We'll then be happy to help you with this Cheers, Vero
  22. @(^_^) Welcome to the forum Launch Alfred's prefs to Appearance > Options (in the bottom left) and choose Focusing: Compatibility mode which makes Alfred behave like an app taking focus. Cheers, Vero
  23. @Chip Normally, the metadata for an app should be full of information (name, types, and so on) but yours is empty, so that's exactly why Evernote isn't appearing. If you follow Step 4 of the indexing page I provided, you'll be able to rebuild your Mac's entire index. Make sure you check the "Delete /.Spotlight-V100" when the checkbox appears, as this will ensure your index is rebuilt from scratch. When Terminal appears and you type your password, check for any error messages, e.g. indicating that your index is disabled. Cheers, Vero
  24. @Chip Did you also type "reload" into Alfred to refresh the cache as instructed? This is essential to refresh Alfred's app cache instantly, rather than waiting until it naturally refreshes later on. If you've followed all steps on the Indexing page and Evernote doesn't appear still, please install this Metadata tool and drag the Evernote app to it. Take a look at the output and paste the results in your email reply. https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip Cheers, Vero
  25. @nemrod It's likely that the others are located elsewhere on your Mac (e.g. backups, mail attachments), so take a look at this troubleshooting page, which should help you establish where the duplicate contacts might live: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/finding-contacts/#duplicates In short, search for a contact, hold Cmd (which should show "Reveal in Finder" as subtext) and press Return to reveal it in Finder. You'll find contacts in a variety of spots on your Mac, and can remove the ones that aren't relevant. Cheers, Vero [Note: Moved from Bugs to Discussion & Help]
